This video is really helping me organize how I can best prepare to take my dog with me. I'm very confused about something though. Since he already has at least 2 vaccines and the last one is recent, does he need another 10 days before the favn?

Hi! I’m so glad you’re finding the video helpful! The 10 days is the recommended amount of time between the last rabies vaccination and drawing the blood sample for the FAVN test. It’s so your pet has time to respond to the vaccine. If it’s been at least ten days since the vaccination then you can go get it done anytime you’re ready!

Feeling your pain! It was so stressful getting Mimi to Guam 😭 Island Pet Movers really made the process easier but is was so expensive lol And it looks like United’s petsafe program still is not valid for Guam 😓 I wish you all the luck 🙌

I am planning to move to Guam from Hong Kong on after year with my cat, review the entry requirement for the cat from Non-Exempt Area, such as Hong Kong, U.S., the quarantine facility reservation must have before entry, does any one who can tell the 120 days quarantine must take or I can collect my cat to home when arrived if all health check results passed, because I am afraid my cat will not be able to survive during the quarantine time without my care, dut to my cat is a fully blind and unable to take care of itself ! hopefully.. anyone share their experience with me or give me advice...

Was flying on the Patriot Express not an option for y’all? Do you know anything about it or pets flying with them? We are going to Guam in the next year or so, and we have a baby and 2 cats and were hoping to take advantage of the military flights available

Hi! United airlines was the only airline available for non military US civilians at that time. During our move in 2021 they had suspended all pet programs. I believe their pet policy is back up and running now. Unfortunately, I do not know any military moving information.

You would've been better off with United Pet safe and had her in quarantine here to visit with her. We did that a few times a week and our cat was happy to know we were around.

United pet safe program was suspended during the time of her travel. I would have loved to use the program but a 3rd party was the only way I could be reunited with my baby last year. 😊

Would you say that Mimi’s personality is the same now even after all that trauma? I really want to move but the thought of putting my cat Klaus through it is the only thing really holding me back😢

It’s different moving your cat between states vs. having to go through like 3 different flights! The poor kitties 😭❤️

I’d say she’s mostly back to the way she was now that it’s been a couple of months being here but she was extra reserved and not very playful for a while. The poor baby was very stressed and we had to gain her trust back.

What airline or company do you recommend for shipping pets to Guam

If you’re coming from the states - United Airlines is now allowing you to bring cats and dogs in cabin with you as long as the kennel can fit under your seat or in front of you. (More options are available if you are military) Unfortunately, that option was suspended when I moved to Guam so that is the only reason I didn’t go through them. If you have a larger animal or a pet that is not a cat or dog it would be good to look at some other options but I really did have a great and easy experience going through Island Pet Movers.
