Rick Ross was a CO before the music. He was not a drug dealer, gangster, street enforcement..nothing. He worked at the prison. He was being a studio “gangster”. He was trying to sound like he was Scarface in the Miami area. Zero street cred so I doubt he knew Meech in the heyday. We’ve seen tons of pics of Meech at clubs, parties, photo shoots & events. Rick Ross ass ain’t no where to be found! 😂 Terry taking a pic with Preme’s sons was an EPIC violation! Plus Terry never came back and cleared the air even when he understood who he was posing with. Seems like Yayo is the only public figure close to 50 that has remained loyal. Honestly, BMF is wack! After they moved to ATL, that shyt became corny as hell. I stopped watching it. I’d watch a Lamar spinoff though cos that actor is phenomenal! I would also watch an Eminem series as well.

Long before the show was even announced, when the whole genre of 'urban cinema' faced a massive drough, around 2012/13 or so, me and my friend watched "American Gangster" and we played around with a "what if" scenario if there was a movie about Big Meech. I said it would've been awesome, as he is basically the archetype for what every single gangsta rapper under the age of 50 want to be like. But also added that (Especially at the time), a lot of the events were still quite 'fresh' and less than a decade old, and when you are dealing with the type of people this show portrays, they can be very, very sensitive about how it is done especially if they have very fresh memories of that time period. For instance, if there is a murder that hasn't been solved and one of the characters on screen is shown committing it, it can get very, very heated (The whole Lamar situation is a good example of this, and even if he did commit any of them, he isn't going to want people to know that now). If they're making a Lamar spin off, they should consult Ladon Simon for advice. Having seen the docuseries about Big Meech, the show is turning into pure fan fiction territory at this point anyways. I understand that all films and tv shows are part fiction - no biographical movie can ever fully portray the complexity of a real human life. But at least try to stay somewhat close to the truth. However, now that Big Meech is released we may actually do get to find out that I was right - it was simply too 'controversial' to be done. They did try though.
