Thank you for this most accurate and detailed depiction of Day 1 I have ever seen. Sadly most documentaries leave out Cutler’s brigade as if they never existed, and instead skip to the Iron Brigade as if they were first on the field. How refreshing!

The use of satellite and on-the-ground photos is phenomenal. I've read a great deal about the battle in general and the first day in particular, (including the Pfanz book) and this video a terrific supplement to these sources.

This content is Brilliant. I've gotten the app on my phone and used it for hours following the Green Mountain Boys. I cant wait to purchase a Computer to fully utilize the App. I will also be purchasing the full battle after getting a Computer!

My Christmas gift came a few days late (but then again so did Jesus' gifts from the magi)! Thank you for your work! Even after days onsite in the last year (new resident to Dillsburg), spending dozens of hours exploring, I still get turned around trying to figure out the history of the battle. Your work helps a TON, esp for that first day which (sadly) goes relatively unsung. I'm finding the movement the days leading up to the battle to be incredibly interesting, enabling me to play "What if" and "Why didn't they" games in my mind. Again, thanks, hopefully I meet you in person someday soon.

I can’t wait for the second video and I can’t wait because in the area where Archers men were there was a quarry and there’s a possibility that two of my 3rd great grand uncles Daniel F Pittenturf and George E Kitzmiller quarried in this quarry.

Had 'em a boxing match there, did they? Just joshing, had to read it twice. Learnt right quick where you text was going! So those kinsman of your were quarrymen, just think Iffen they were about a hundred years into the future. They could have been in Liverpool, G.B. a playing in that band called The Beatles.😊 I know, a smart-aleck in every bunch.

@ no not exactly they worked in a stone quarry and someone who works in a quarry is called a quarryman and they weren’t from G.B they were citizens of the USA whose family’s came from Germany and England but mostly Germany aka deutschland.

wasn't it the 42nd Mississippi going down the railroad cut with Davis's brigade, not the 42nd North Carolina?

You are absolutely correct! We made an error referring to the 42MS as being the 42NC. Thank you for pointing out this narration mistake. We have made a notation of this "blooper" in the video description.
