I recognized SO many of the figures and sets that I had as a kid, None have which survived the last 70 years. When my parents move from NJ to Fla in 1973, my mother gave ALL my toy soldiers to my younger cousins, and that was the last I ever saw of them.. I had quite a collection as I started getting lead soldiers as Christmas and birthday presents in the 1950's, and later got the Marx sets.. This really brought back memories. Wish I could have attended. Thanks Bill and be well.

@bruceschmidt3404 I know how you feel, back in 2001 when I was 12 I had a computer from 1993. I hade all the floppy disk original games on it and my dad threw it away. Even today 23 years later I still hold a bit of a grudge. Boy did I love my old computer. One of the only things he hasn't chucked away is my army men collection, they now reside with me. I'm autistic and I like certain things like very old games and collecting my police and army figurines. They just bring me joy, not had much of that over the years!!!!

@bruceschmidt3404 Yes, I just need to add some old tin soldiers to my collection to be complete. I have aluminium, lead, steel and plastic, just need the tin soldiers. I am on the look out for some bronze soldiers, but their very rare!!!!

I wish Northeast Wisconsin had these soldier/game events. The local big show would be in Chicago. That would be too expensive for me to attend.

Looks similar to the Chicago Toy Soldier Show which is a week from today Sunday Sept 22. Wonder if any of the dealers there will be in Chicago....

Just a general question Is there much demand for these products? Is this much of a insertion of new younger collectors moving into collections these products? I’ve picked up a few W Britain’s in the past years. But to put out a few hundred for an old play set from the 50’s and 60’s I don’t see the need. Someone fill me in.

Wargaming should all be in 1:32, 1:35, and 54 MM Scale. It's just way better. My opinion so don't attack me 😂
