(질문) If it weren't fot that, My dad would've gotten one.에서 If it had not been for that,~ 이라고 해야 하는 거 아닌가요? 가정법 과거완료이니까 if절도 had pp로 하는거라고 배운거 같은데요. 만약에 둘다 맞는 표현이라면 그 두개가 의미에서 차이가 있나요?

I love dogs, but my mom and I are so busy, our home is empty for at least seven hours, If it weren't for that, I would've brought one home. My legs hurt last weekend, If it weren't for that, I would go to work tomorrow, but I'm still sick, so I won't go to work 강의 보고 제 이야기로 문장 만드는 게 재미있어지기 시작했어요!!

질문여. 가정법 과거완료니까 if it hadn't been for that(it weren't for that은 가정법 과거는 현재의 상황에 맞는 가정이니까 안된다), I would've gotten one. 이 더 맞는다는 의견에 대해 어떻게 생각하세요.

This job pays well. It's really stressful sometimes though. If it weren't for the money, I think I would do something else. That job was really stressful, but it paid very well. If it weren't for the money, I think I would've done something else. I love dogs, but my wife and I are always busy and we're away a lot. We don't have time to take care of a dog. If it weren't for that, I would definitely get a dog. Maybe two. When I was growing up, I always wanted a dog. But my mom never allowed it. If it weren't for that, I think my dad would've gotten one. I wanted to help her, but I have to work on Saturday. If it weren't for that, of course I would've helped her. I wish I could join you, but I'm having dinner with my parents that night. 선생님. 미래에 대한 얘기(부모님과의 식사 선약이 있을때)를 할 때는. "If it isn't for that, I will go with you"라고 하면 안되나요?

한국어에서도 “없이(는)” 라고 할 때도 있고 “(뭐/누구) 아니었으면” 이라고 할 때도 있는 것과 같죠. 한 쪽이 다른 한 쪽을 항상 대체한다고 할 수는 없어요. 둘 다 쓰이니까요 😀

I wanted to stay there studying a little longer, but it was going to rain, so i had to head back home before it started. If it werent for that, I would have done a little more studying. I barely keep taking care of my dog. If it were not for my job, i would consider having one more, just so they are not bored. Life always gets in the way. I am just as tall as your average person, If i had been much taller, well, i could just try out for a basketball team, not necessarily for a professional league.
