Nowadays, it's all about "Slice of Life", High School, Fantasy Game Worlds, and cute "Moe" girls, right?? XD

Actually what Square did was they said they were open to outside development teams making new entries based on older Eidos properties (since Square bought out Eidos years ago in order to have a larger Western branch), and all you had to do was submit ideas to Square and if they liked it they'd greenlight the game and publish it. They also did this for many other properties, even mostly forgotten ones like Anachronox (a little known action-RPG made by some of the same people who worked on the original Deus Ex at Ion Storm) and Fear Effect (a game that does have a cancelled third entry from the PS2 era). The problem is that I don't think Square was very impressed by the ideas that were submitted to them by smaller indie devs, especially since it's possible a bunch of said indie devs might have not had a lot of game making experience and simply wanted to work on these IPs for the sake of working on something they enjoyed as a kid. As a result Square sorta just closed the door on the idea. Chances of Crystal Dynamics working on a new Gex seems pretty small at this point. Once Eidos handed them the development rights to Tomb Raider back in 2006 that's pretty much all they've been working on, they even scrapped a planned new Legacy of Kain game (and a proposed LoK game by a different developer got shot down by Square years ago).

I use a Panasonic Lumix GH3 with a 20mm Lumix lens. I edit in Sony Vegas Pro 13 because I'm a scrub who's too lazy to figure out Adobe. I edit all of the images I use in Adobe Photoshop CS6.

The GBC Gex games are pretty awesome. I don't think they would make a good video per say, however they are much better than Gex one. Also, they don't have the voice acting that annoyed you. If you ever feel like making a visit to the worlds largest mound of poop, I recommend Gex GBC.

Good to know Gex left on a high note I probably should have stated this on an earlier video: Watching all three of these Gex videos and the top 10 horrible songs make me really question your taste in music and voices... I'm with you on the british voice of Gex 3 though. One thing you may not have noticed is that Gex 3 pulls a Super Mario World: almost every song in the game is the same song but only remixed, which I think is really cool. 5:32 You forgot about the karate schoolgirls!

Okay, I need to get one thing straight about this particular review, alright? When Nitro Rad reviewed the Anime level in Gex 3, he made it out in a way that it is considered to be a "huge disappointment" especially to the kids of the early 2010s who assumed that all anime are supposed to be like Kill La Kill and all moe and what not (pre-My Hero Academia if y'know what I mean, am I right?). That was all because it had major influences from the classical anime staples like giant robots and butt-kicking schoolgirls rather than being all moe, waifu-cheap trash and stuff of that nature. Wow! What a great way to praise that level! When we got Gexup's review on the Anime level from the game, he was a lot more lenient to it because of those themes, meaning that he understands the influences a lot better than NitroRad ever did! Therefore, that level is fine the way it is! LOL 5:07 - 5:38 (I am so sorry, but I also like giant robots and mecha anime and I think that he was making those influences a bigger deal than they truly are! LOL)
