I have an issue I've connected my live onto the thermostat and my neutral on the other side coming from my power cord then bridged the live and neutral straight onto the element keeps tripping the power so I put the power into an extension cord and not straight into the db board it was working fine for a few days but today after being on for a few hours the extension cords box melted and the plug comimg from my element and thermostat what went wrong? Also Mine isn't on a geyser it's a big metal hydro dipping bath filled with water I don't need boiling water just 26 degrees is fine so overheating can't be the reason why the plugs melted

@devantevanderwalt am sorry about my late reply. I hope you won. If I were on your shoes, if the breaker was not tripping when I hadn't connected, but only when I was connecting, I was going to change the element.
