I cannot believe what I just heard and saw. Ihave the music for this piece (Passacaglia by Tansman) and it is terror! This man is a unique phenomenon to have executed it with such emotion and such stupefying technique. Touched by the Heavenly Father......

It is much more than technology....physics and chemistry and engineering.....what really separates us from the other animals which inhabit this glorious planet are such things as Art and Literature and, yes, Music! let us never forget these things or take them for granted because, indeed, these are what make us Human.

A question, since you have the music for this piece. Does the composer call for the guitarist to hammer the strings with great intensity (starting maybe about 4:20) or is this just Illarionov's interpretation? My personal preference would be for more beauty of tone and less harsh beating of the strings.
