If you’re expecting a sound difference you’re going to be disappointed. This is essentially a rebuild kit that improves the factory dv strength. Everyone needs to stop asking for sound clips, it’s not a blow off valve.

Installed it in 1.8 Tsi ea888 gen3 and it holds all the boost with no leak as it happened with the stock valve. There is also a noticeable flutter when it releases the extra pressure back in the intake but certainly not the loud one someone may expect. I have aftermarket cold air intake with cone filter.

Hello, The DV+ is not designed to make noise. It's designed to be a more performance focused replacement for the OEM valve. It can be normal to have some flutter at light throttle or low RPM situations, but this should be minor and shouldn't happen after a full throttle lift-off. Any kind of flutter is going to be a lot more noticeable with the cold air intake.

@@gfbvideos I know that, I haven't installed it for the flutter but for the boost leak the stock valve of this engine has when you go from mid rpm to full throttle when in 2nd and 3rd gear. The dv+ eliminated this totally! I believe the cold air intake is what makes the flutter noticeable and it comes at mid rpm as you say when I fully release the throttle. Excellent bolt on product.

@@GiorgosChort Glad to hear you're liking the DV+! Yes that all sounds correct. A cold air intake will dramatically increase the volume of all sounds coming form the turbo so it's not unusual to hear some flutter under certain conditions

I have leon mk3 1.8tsi gen3 facelift and i can't install....the screw does not fit. Blocked by water pipe....

Just switched over to DV+ on my Golf MK7 R (APR Stage 1) .. I didn't notice any flutter noise. Everything felt the same as it was before honestly. The change might be so small that its hard to pick up. Will be testing again later tonight.

Flutter...the diverter is recirculating like stock on this part? The idea is this valve is strong hold boost more and not leak over time like stock with the extra boost of the APR tune. It should be better when you accelerate back off then accelarate again in lower gears?

+ultramoo these valves are designed to stop the flutter, as well as stop the OEM diverter valve leak issue. By the sounds of it, your valve is working correctly! The main benefits for your car would be throttle response, boost holding and reliability.

does this take away from any clearance for the intake pipes and inlet elbow? I'm thinking of pairing this with an aftermarket inlet elbow that is larger and want to ensure that this does not impact the ability to install it.

The DV+ shouldn't have any major impact on the noise the car makes

Does this retain the same stock footprint? If I wanted to go with 3.5” turbo inlet, do you think there will be clearance issues?!

yes I had to remove my aftermarket turbo inlet and silcone hose and put stock back on and it was still very tight

Hi Jim, I'm not aware of any compatibility issues between the DV+ and the stage 1 APR tune. There are many people running APR tunes with the DV+ as they're both quite common modifications

Bleezy D. Engine oil would do the job just fine

@@andytube0172 They are Silicone Based Seals, they do not require Oil. However, I put a dab of Vaseline on the Small plunger oring. Their instructions do not say anything about adding any oil to the Orings, at least on mine.

The oil is only to lubricate the piston …as is explained in the instructions. A once only thing.

The DV+ VTA vents to Atmosphere. This recirculates back into the intake, which is better in my opinion and doesn't make that stupid sound. If you have an aftermarket intake with an open filter, you can hear it release the pressure back into the intake.

+45llamas The sole propose of a diverter valve is to stop the fluttering sound, if you wish to have this sound removing and blocking off the diverter will do the trick. It is not very good for your turbo though! So in fact, if your valve flutters there is something wrong!

Sorry i was misinformed. i actually went stage 1 and I can hear like a whistle sound while acelerating is not loud i barely can hear it but is this normal?
