MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR SEASON TWO OF OUTLANDER.
I needed to make this. It's tedious, emotional, and hard to watch, I know. But necessary. Faith wasn't just Jamie and Claire's daughter, she is the human embodiment of the delicate balance between life, death, and faith.

The Faith episode was so hauntingly beautiful and sad. When Fergus (great young actor!) brings Claire home from the hospital, and she walks through the line of servants, her emotions were heart wrenching. And reliving her time with sweet Faith to Jamie, when Louise comes to see her and asks to hold Faith, OMG, the tears!! This episode showcased Balfe's depth of acting skills. She was simply outstanding! And Jamie bringing the St Andrew spoon to leave a part of Scotland with Faith, this episode was amazing!

This scene tore out my heart! So naturally when I made Claire and Jamie in the Sims 3 the first child was Faith. But this is the ringer they had triplets the order is this Faith, Brianna, and Ailie. Now they've had Fergus in my game I give people I love from my favorite shows happy endings.

How many countless women have gone through losing a child after birth? One of the most heart wrenching losses that a woman can go through and Caitriona really brought that loss and indescribable pain to the screen. Although I’ve not experienced this I felt every bit of what it would be like to go through this. 😥

Indeed she did capture that in the most heart wrenching way. And it is a pain too great to be borne alone. Alas, in my case the useless ex's response as I was bleeding out was, "Think what fun we will have getting back in the saddle again." Insensitivity R Us.

I have gone through that loss three times. I have attended many stillborn births as an L&D Nurse and NICU nurse over the last 30 yrs. I can say, with sadly, a certainty that her acting here is spot on. The cry of a woman that has lost a baby is something that can never be equaled. It has a gut-wrenching, haunting soul-crushing sound that is all it's own. I count it a profound honor to attend a birth, all births, but especially to hold a mother's hand, and heart and let the tears fall. It haunts my dreams.

I watch outlander just to suffer, i suffered along with Game of thrones, but the acting level of the cast of Outlander is in a whole other level, really, they are great actors and actresses, no tv show has moved me and made me feel pain and emotions as Outlander, Catriona and Sam are huge, but also the rest of the cast, my favorite tv show forever, i fell in love since episode one, and i found it randomly, i wasnt looking for it, but i saw it one day and it called me to watch it. 😭😭😭 I don't regret that day. I will forever treasure that day. 😭😭😭 JUNE 25TH.🖤

I think what happened with Faith shows the what happens when there is a break down in communication and that both Jamie and Claire had lost some trust in each other, she should have trusted Jamie enough to know that he wouldn't have challenged BJR to a duel unless there was a pretty damn good reason, especially after giving his word. Also even though I know at the end Claire blamed herself, for putting Frank first, if something had happened in Frank not being born because of a change in his ancestry, then that means he and Claire would never meet and that means she might never have gone to Scotland and gone through the standing stones to meet Jamie so that is kind of important.

The thing that I love about this show is that nothing in History ends up changing with her presence in the past. No matter how much they tried to change the course of events with the Bonnie Prince... When you look at it, it's actually more like them trying to stop it ended up HELPING it get to where it was. The show makes Claire's presence in the past and future seem normal. Like the earth knew she was going back and forth and formed its history around it accordingly. BUT! BJR thankfully was not the ancestor of Frank... his brother was. BJR never had any children so maybe with his undoing it wouldn't have affected things at all. Nobody will know.

@@allisonthorson1682 Exactly. That little fact of the genetic lineage is easily overlooked. So many of the children in this book are not raised by their biological parents--and might be another reason why so much DNA testing today is full "of surprises." Paper records shouldn't be assumed to be accurate.

Before this series I never really thought how devastating it must be to go through something like this. I am not married and I don't believe in it either because my mom and dad aren't really in talking terms. So I have no idea what true love is, and how deep it can be. But seeing this fictional series, falling in love with this red-headed Scotsman whose passion is beyond words, it broke my heart to see a part of him die. I guess I understand now, what it really means. A woman will go to every extent to see her man happy, and push through every risk to bring his child to life. It surely is devastating, to bear that failure, that loss.... I have never cried watching an episode as hard as I did in this one. It was her lover's child....

When I first watched this heart-wrenching episode , boy did I cry , ALOT!! My heart really really went out to Claire. The whole episode had me shook the whole day. And wow were Caitriona and Sam's acting amazing!! My heart really went out to Jamie too for everything he had gone through , and not being able to be there for Claire and his baby in the most difficult thing they would ever have to deal with. They were traumatic events for both of them. This video brought back all those feelings. Good job :-)

i love history and medicine in the book a midwifes tale and other scources the way to handle such a complication as that which Clair suffered is the best option is if the child was thought to be dead and to save mother and ensure she would bear children was to cut the body up "the surgical destruction of the foetus to facilitate delivery, was widely accepted in British obstetric practice. It was the traditional means of saving women’s lives in labours that otherwise would eventuate in their death. " "As gruesome as it sounds, the infant was generally dead before such desperate measures were taken." this is the best outcome for Clair as it is far less risky than a c-section
