What is the application for a tripod? You said lowering into a hole. When does a firefighter have to go in a hole?

@@cameronsmith6566 Can you give me an example of the etcetera part? I swear I'm not trying to be a dick but I just can't think of the application. I can understand the confined space part, but I wouldn't use this to pull someone out of a car, collapsed building, or even a cliff. To use this would mean that someone has fallen into a hole that goes straight down, and there is enough secure ground around this hole to set up a tripod. I can't think of the application. I could see this system being used more in construction for moving equipment and stuff.
