Star Wars Galaxy's Edge: Cal Kestis Legacy Lightsaber Review
Today we look at a Brand New lightsaber to make its way to Star Wars Galaxy's Edge one that won a community vote and was delayed a few times is finally here the Lightsaber from Jedi Fallen Order can be purchased for $160 for a single hilt or $344 for 2, why would you want 2? Simple to make it a double bladed lightsaber of course
No blade is not included, no extra purchase needed to get a connector , no it does not change color, no it does not connect with other lightsaber... YET those who played the game knows what I mean but no info if they will make it at the moment.

I know the Legacy Lightsabers are somewhat limited in what they can do, but I was really hoping this one would feature the color-changing blade. Oh well... still a fine looking lightsaber!

@@Darth_Arashi I LOVE those! I'd still love to get them. I really wish they had just made them "infinite color changing" the way the cheaper base-lit lightsabers are since he can change the blade color to so many options in the game. But... you can't have it all! Hahaha.

It upsets me because I love this saber. It’s by far my favorite saber in Star Wars because I think sabers with emitters that surround the saber look so cool, and having it be broken or double is exactly what makes it so interesting to me (and I love fallen order). I hate that it’s so far away from the saber and so big compared to how sleek it looks in the games, and I want one so bad but it looks like I would have to go for a 3rd party saber which is much more expensive.

@@georgealexwade it’ll be slightly more expensive yes, but it’ll have basic features that even the Disney/Hasbro wont have till the next century. Smooth swing, bring LED’s that wont look washed out next to a dimly light lamp, actually audible speakers, etc. Features that actually make it feel like you are holding a saber from the movies themselves

I don’t think that is wrong. I always thought the Saberforge and Vader’s Vault were too small. Considering it was made for a Lasat’s baseball glove sized hands.

Honestly I’m cool with the size it makes more sense that it’s that size since it’s Jaros lightsaber, I know in the game it looked really small in his giant hands and it just looks weird lol I’m usually bothered by the chunkyness of legacy sabers but this one works for me personally 🤷‍♂️

Cals was by far my fav one they had when I was there a week ago. By a mile. I got that and Dookus. Both are amazing. I don’t think it feels awkward or too top heavy at all.

Cal's damaged lightsaber is easily my favorite design, and I'm honestly glad they didn't simply attach two full-sized sabers together because I would've liked that a lot less than what it looks like in-game.

Great review as always! Just out of curiosity, since I’m heading to Disney soon, have there been any changes to the available items at dok ondars? Like for example a friend of mine who went on another school trip to Disney earlier this year told me that some of the things like the Jedi food capsules aren’t there any more. Is this a permanent change or just an availability thing, and is there anything else like this at other stores in galaxy’s edge? If there’s any way you know that I could find out it would be a huge help, and thank you so much if it’s at all possible. If not I completely understand. Keep up the great work!

I definitely love that blade for the single/double blade options. Though I have to agree with your comment on the weight. Of all my blades, that has to be one of the heaviest hilts I own. Especially when you double-blade it.

When you have it with both attached, the cover tech wheels will be at the same spot, so maybe if you have two clips for it to attach to your belt you could attach it horizontally on your back

The hilt and emitter should be longer, but honestly, I'm just disappointed that its only blue. I know that's how it is canonically, but considering how a big part of the lightsaber in the game is that you can change the color with the Kyber crystals. I think it would have been fantastic if you could've used your own Kyber crystals with this saber so that it could be whatever color you want.

Watched this video when it first premiered in April and wanted to come back here with a thank you. Because I just picked up one of these bad boy's from Galaxy's Edge in WDW (long flight from Cali). I was curious could you do a follow up video on third party stands or even blade plugs that might fit something like this? I guess stand and blade plug recommendations could fit for any sabers. But I just wanted to see your thoughts on those. Just to make it present nicely on my desk. I love the saber quite a bit but I can't find a way to display this chunky saber and the plastic saber plug on the top doesn't look great. I might get a saber plug from etsy that looks a tad bit nicer but I wanted to see if you had any suggestions.

If you have a heavier saber weighing down a belt, you may try what the British officers did in WW1 which was to use an additional strap from the belt to the shoulder. I don’t know if it would work, but when it came to sidearms and metal sabres, it worked to displace the weight.

So apparently there is painted black ring above the rubber grip below the emitter switch. I was so confused why that specific part was so poorly done and to top it off on mine in particular it was much more sloppy compared to other peoples cal sabers. I guess it’s supposed to be detail weathering but it just looks so goofy like someone used a sharpie. I weathered the area on both sabers to mask it and it looks a lot better now

Just got mine today. Thanks to my good friend who brought it home for me and my God it is heavy. Any tips on making the 2 Cal lightsabers align perfectly when connected ? For mine it's slightly askew when connected

One thing with the sound: Seems like it has a single "on" loop, with no variations, nor randomization at start point, which means that when you turn them both on at the exact same time, they sound phasey. Disney imagineers, holler me for future sound design =D Really cool saber! So addicting to have them all haha.

It's nice but the large size and weight is a concern -- especially in the double blade configuration. Also, I wish there was a single on switch for the dual blade so that you can be just as cool as the movies where both blades turn on at same time while just holding the middle handle -- coz with this setup, you have to tell your enemy "hold up, let me flick this one on, and then flick this one on... " lol

I just got mine on Monday I’m so glad my wife suggested we go to Disneyland in April a couple weeks after the lightsaber dropped I thought it had already dropped I would of been so disappointed if it wasn’t even available, didn’t get the second one I got Rey’s lightsaber and ahsokas and felt too broke to go for the second hilt to make the dual
