Am I the only one who thinks this sonata is quite far away from the original musicality of Chopin? I found it to have a very Beethoven-like structure, with a lot of expressiveness rather than emotions.

Yes the first movement is the pure Beethoven.

To me, the fifth movement is pure Gesualdo. "A lot of expressiveness instead of emotions" - is that like a lot of tomato sauce instead of ketchup?
