Channeling my inner Asuka girl: I'm very interested in the differences between how NITRONY and TY play the same character. obviously nitro is really good, but its hard to see what about his gameplay is particularly creative, or even character-specific. He uses gio's tools in a really standard way, fast heavy buttons for whiff-punishing, and not a ton of risky aggression. his combos and blockstrings all look like stuff I could come up with (I'm trash), but his fundamentals are so much better. All this said, TY is my favorite Gio player and the reason I picked up the character in the first place (I use his color as a tribute). He seems to make much better use of gio's INSANE grounded movement, more fake dashes, more backdashes. He takes a few more risks, trying to counter poke on his minus frames, stuff like 5K>5H. I also like that he chases a bit more, in this MU you cant let ram have space for the swords, and gio stepdash is great for dashblocking. I know TY is a legacy Slayer main, and mainly plays him now, but its always a treat when he goes back to gio for a set Sidenote: I know besh00 is an ABA main but look up some replays of his gio, he's absolutely insane with her. I learned like 5 nre pieces of tech in one round, hes goated with the hitconfirms, and he does combos Ive never seen anywhere else. Despite TY switching to slayer, besh00 might actually play even less gio than TY so replays are rare, but he's truly cracked beyond belief.
