It's supposed to happen. When you hit with the tip there's no transform or extra animation when in moroha

Look I have to say this, Asuka is really not a fighting game character. The fact that he can just fill the screen with bullcrap is kind of overpowered. I feel the same way about Crappy Chaos. When I think about fighting game characters he's not the first thing that comes to mind.

I assume you never played the older GG games, or watched videos of strong Asia players using Justice, Zappa, or Dizzy... Asuka fits perfectly into the Guilty Gear character line-up, and ASW appears to really like this character; so Asuka will not be going away anytime soon.

That's guilty gear, not a conventional fighting game, welcome lol

@@waitingforzato-1i-noinguil301imagine disliking Asuka and Happy Chaos, they are insanely cool characters. And saying Asuka is OP without having any notion of how hard it is to learn him at the level this guy in the video plays is just dumb af

@@waitingforzato-1i-noinguil301 the only one of those who reaches and even overtakes asuka is zappa. But I do agree with your point. I'd say that asuka is pretty much like dizzy in the "obstacle course" neutral. I actually think Asuka is pretty fair I've mained him and fought against him a lot. And the satisfaction of cracking his shell is unparalleled

Looks like a 1:9 matchup. But for both of them.

This might surprise you, but contrary to popular belief, Gobou said that Asuka vs. Normal Mode A.B.A is not all that advantageous - therefore, Asuka vs. A.B.A (Normal Mode) is not the 10:0 or 9:1 advantage for Asuka that people were/are stating. Moreover, Gobou mentioned that once the A.B.A player gets into Moroha Mode, Asuka's normal attacks are too weak to contest hers, and at 1/2 screen distance or closer, the cubes are too slow to stop her; and once the Asuka player is cornered, the match is most likely over - with this information coming from the unparalleled best Asuka player in the world, and one of the best A.B.A players out there; I can honestly say that his opinion on this match-up definitely holds much greater weight than any other player... No wonder Gobou used A.B.A at EVOJ against Gesui when he said that he expected an Asuka mirror - he knew Gesui would probably pick Asuka at one point, and just didn't care. So, I believe this may be a situation similar to I-No vs. A.B.A - not necessarily a bad match-up, but not a good match-up, either.

@@waitingforzato-1i-noinguil301 That's why I said for both of them. I main ABA myself and fighting against Asuka is a bit frustrating at times but it's not unfair. I believe if both players don't make a single mistake, the Asuka player will win 100% of the time. But one single mistake and the ABA player would immediately turn the tables and win or at least force Asuka to use their burst. When talking about bad matchups for ABA, I would say Axl is way worse.
@waitingforzato-1i-noinguil3017 ай бұрын
Stating that the Asuka player has to make a mistake against A.B.A in order to lose, otherwise they will win 100% is the exact same thing as a 10:0 match-up - which Gobou said it's clearly not all that advantageous. Gobou stated that A.B.A's problem match-ups are Chaos, Axl, and Johnny. Now, I'm not trying to lecture you or anything, but Asuka is inherently hard to fight for a lot of players due to his RNG nature, but once you understand the match-up (such as when to use YRC, Burst, find gaps in-between his pressure) and use every opportunity to break the cubes - as Gobou does with A.B.A, then the match-up will become immensely easier... Edit: Every Asuka player also starts out in Case 1, so A.B.A definitely has the tools to deal with the single or 3-hit cubes - there are no Bit Shift cubes in Case 1 - which are difficult to deal with...

This mu is quite favorable towards aba, she has better buttons than asuka in normal mode and she can get full key meter if the asuka dares to go outside of 5h range, and in 5h range its a guessing game for asuka where if hes wrong he loses hard. If she ever gets a hit she'll install and jealous rage is an automatic loss for asuka since it robs all momentum and its impossible to defend against consistently.
