Nage has been struggling with Strive Faust for as long as I can remember. That character hasn't been the same since Xrd or other games before. 😢

I know that she's not feautered here, but, Test bros, I´m the only one that feels that the Dizzy matchup is...kinda frustating? Skill issue or not, I need some advice for how to face her becuase she seems to be incredibly strong in the ranges where Testament wants to be, and something as simple as setting up a proyectile feels like hell if not after I knock her down because of her ice pillar freezing me before I can do anything and both the fish and fire arrow beating Greave Reaper, and getting close to her doesn't seem to be the most optimal strategy either because her normals are faster, stronger and some of them are as long, or even more, than Testament´s. Sometimes everthing I feel that I can do is stoping her from throwing proyectiles with Arbitor, but that's not gonna last really long because Dizzy can also beat Arbitor easily by just using Ice Pillar. Once again, this could be an skill issue more than anything, but I would really appreciate if some of you could share some knowledge of the match-up over here.

Been playing a bunch of sets against my buddy who picked up dizzy. It’s a weird matchup. I found that I have to play around the ice pillar ranges and bait them out before I can pressure. Air projectiles help get succubus out without worrying about getting frozen. Be more aggressive than you are against most of the cast so you can get your stuff on screen without letting them get their stuff on screen. Challenge raw ice fish. Sign will beat pillar and fish if you get it off first I think but that’s for making a read that your opponent wants to be greedy and set stuff up raw.

If she is spamming 236k(fire arrow) arbiter her to death. You can also arbiter her if she's trying to setup ice fish at mid/full screen. For the ice pillars, they spawn at different ranges, and you can play between them. You can dash block approaching her, and grave reaper or arbiter after she uses an ice pillar because she has some recovery. I haven't labbed this, because I haven't gotten the season pass yet, so I can't 100% confirm, but if you block her 2k2d and she goes into 214H you can 6p it. You can use calamity one on either version because it's not tight. A lot of dizzys I've played like to do j.d then setup a fish, you can smoke that with 6h in the mid range.

Arbiter Sign. It beats full screen pillar and fire spear. If she’s trying to play full screen and zone you with pillars, fish, and spear, arbiter sign will hit her out of all of those which immediately delete the projectiles as well. You can also time your Grave Reaper so that the attack part hits the fire spear. It’s how I deal with other projectile spam. The attack deletes projectiles and your projectile will come out afterward, but timing it isn’t easy for fast moving things like that.

Not a single attempt to throw with stain. Why? Because it sucks. You're back to neutral without stain if teched out, and the combo off success isn't that much better. Testament literally got nothing in 4.0. A nerf if you include the universal 6p change. So people still playing Testament this patch, YOUR DEDICATION TO THIS CHARACTER IS TRULY INSPIRING!!

My theory is that the reason Test buffs were kinda underwhelming this patch is because we were supposed to get the teleport buffs alongside stain throw, but ArcSys gave part of it to us early because the character was not in a good state. Like if they released that in conjunction with stain throw it would've felt more cohesive, but they split it up so we ate well in season 3.5 but got a little less than most the cast in season 4. Stain throw could be a little better though, like making air throw able to convert into anything at all, maybe make the scaling better so it doesn't feel mostly useless reward-wise compared to just hitting the opponent. It has the potential to be a potent mixup tool but is held back a bit.

Well, the good thing about our character being almost unchanged form the last patch is that while everybody has to learn to how to adjust their gameplay to the changes (specially because characters like Ram, Sol and Pot feels like a totally different character now) we Test mains can just directly jump into the action and go to the tower/park with no previous labbing whatsoever...Yeah, who I´m I trying to fool? *Inhales* ...Want some copium bro? I have plenty of it.

I love Test no matter what, but Im tired of how they treat this character overall. It’s like they are afraid to give Test some juice. Bro give me something that blows my mind: maybe bring the spider web back or the tree, that would be sick. Test was high tear in previous saga, now it’s struggling big time. I guess we like torture… what can I say, I can’t resist Test legs 😂
