7:42 What you’re seeing here is Zato losing all of his pressure and half his toolkit for 7 seconds because of being hit by burst. There is no other character in the game that loses half their toolkit on being bursted. They could have made it 5 seconds but they really made a lot of Zato’s matchups suck because of this change. He got lucky at that moment and got a throw off the bad safejump, but Goldlewis could have easily swung into more pressure and taken the neutral.

Seriously it's bad enough bursts hits Eddie (in a way that knocks him out) but the 7 second cooldown is insane. You don't up something from 3 to 7 and call it balanced. Maybe 3 to 4 but if you think it needs to be MORE THAN 2X as much than why was it ever 3?!?! bring it back down ffs

Though, to add to this, this is the only game where you can resummon eddie with meter. So it's not entirely unreasonable of them to treat it like this. Hoping the new special move is just +R exhaustion

Zato mix boggles my mind, even though I'm just spectating. I have a lot to learn about opening up my opponent's defense. But easily my favorite part is when he Breaks The Law under a landmine while Lewis is jumping, then punishes his whiffed attack.

@@GILFtamerHe definitely does not lol. Blue Wild Assault is literally meant for characters like Zato, and he does use it well. Zato’s problem is that Eddie last like four seconds and then when he dies he’s gone for like ten. If he lived longer proportional to how long he stayed dead in older GGs, he’d probably be good again lol

This matchup is surprisingly bad for Zato, but props to Otaim for persevering and figuring out how to combat his opponent. There is no such thing as a true unwinnable matchup, just players that cannot adapt to their opponent’s Playstyle

Zato got gutted this patch because they were afraid of pre-nerf Zato with blue WA. If Eddie recharged as fast as he did in season 2, with blue WA? He'd loop high/low Eddie pressure forever. They might've went too far, but they had the right idea in pre-emptively nerfing Zato
