Your approach to explaining GGT and ALP was an interesting contribution on KZbin, however I think your overlooking a much needed summary in regards to more bile or less bile flow results in a higher or lower GGT liver enzyme score: Unless someone has already done more research before finding your video, your average person's knowledge on the subject is going to conclude wrongly from your video that more bile is bad, but it's actually just the opposite from what I'm learning. What I'm learning is that you want a high volume of bile and a high flow rate of bile in your digestive system so you can adequately break down fully your food supply and get the nutrients of your food in the first place.

You do not want high volume of bile, you need a volume of bile adequate to the amount of fats that you consume - this process in hormonally regulated. Fats stimulate CKK secretion - CKK stimulate GB contraction - GB release adequate amount of bile. Simple as that. Moreover, GGT and ALP will be normal regardless of more bile / less bile. Both GGT and ALP will increase only in case of bile stasis - when bile outflow will be obstructed - and this will cause accumulation of bile in the biliary system.

@@Foxterrier OK, thanks for responding, so if people are concerned with there GTT liver enzyme scores being out of range than breaking up these ''obstructed bile flow'' pathways, should lower there GGT score, (correct?)

@@flolou8496 If people have increased GTT and ALP - it's a sign of cholestasis. Yes, obstruction in the biliary tree is one of the most common factors that cause elevation.
