I'm willing to sacrifice damage for more stable routing. I know you've shown the j.6K j.D route before but I'm not a big believer in its consistency.

punish 6H with IAD jPHD into a full air combo (preferably start the iad with jump back, will whiff/crossup if 6H is blocked point blank in that case do run up 6P/6K) punish divekick with parry -> 5P 2S j6K jD 5P 2S TKB

25:38 get in the habit of countering low when you see that instead of accepting your fate

Blocking is fine. The situation is fine because he's forced to spend 50 meter to not be in a position where I can CH punish him, and I have my own meter. It's not the most rewarding but it has the best balance of risk/reward to me.

10:22 that knockdown wasn't real you could've teched out
@LaziestNameEver8 ай бұрын
Are you sure about that? There are 11-hit combos that knock Axl down from higher up and I doubt superball is affecting that.
@LaziestNameEver8 ай бұрын
I just tried a similar combo off of throw into superball that knocked down from even higher so I think it's safe to say I could not have teched out.

@@LaziestNameEverright my bad I thought starting off with throw + the rejump after jH would kill the hitstun proration

Very doubtful, especially on Haehyun hurtbox

Why didn't you just 214P every time he did divekick? It's way less committal and still gives you massive reward with a rejump route
@LaziestNameEver8 ай бұрын
Because I'm trying to IB it and that's even less committal. A bunch of hayabusas are already whiffing from me just standing around so 214P is more risky than you'd think.
@H2A_238 ай бұрын
@@LaziestNameEver you kept doing 2S which trades most of the time and divekick is + on IB idk what you're saying here
@LaziestNameEver8 ай бұрын
@@H2A_23 2S doesn't normally have a problem if I react early enough to the angle Haehyun is approaching me at. I do both 2S and IB depending on timing/spacing. Also, Hayabusa is minus on standing IB. I can press 5K and it beats 2P and Shinken. You can verify this yourself in training mode. Maybe you're talking about crouching IB, which I have never looked at, but I have no idea why you'd crouch IB that move. I appreciate critique, but if you're going to do it then at least be correct, especially with something as basic as air Hayabusa frame advantage.
@H2A_238 ай бұрын
@@LaziestNameEver yeah my fault for not knowing the static difference of a divekick that has more frame advantage the higher its done and the later it hits very basic indeed The IB barely worked in the first place you got it a whopping three times during the entire set, and the 2S traded like 7 times to no fault of your own, like I'm not even critiquing I'm just suggesting another option
@LaziestNameEver8 ай бұрын
@@H2A_23 The frame advantage is not static but it's always minus on IB. I have already tested this. I have no idea what you mean by "barely worked" because I pretty sure when I get the IB I get my turn and that's all I really want. Not every interaction that doesn't lead to a punish or a big combo is a failure, that's just a poor way to approach fighting games. I personally find consistent answers to be higher value to me than optimal answers. The optimal answer is probably just 2S(1) CH into IAD j.HD anyway.
