TG had a big part in ending LnL. He never forgot how it all started with a rape. He was weary of playing Luke for so many years. After all they'd been through together, I think she deserved some air time, no matter how brief, to say goodbye. Instead, Sonny gets the big farewell. wtf?!?! I started digging in a little bit on this 2011 stuff, and I don't like the way it went. I love the actors. I think they are amazing. They do great work with every line they are given. But, I don't like the direction the characters went. Families were just flat-out destroyed. Luke and Lucky had an amazing relationship. Luke, Laura and Lucky had an amazing relationship. Lucky and Liz were wonderful together. Ethan and Tracey should have never been interjected into the Spencer family. I could live with Nikolas coming into the picture, as they slowly wound him into the fold. He made more sense in terms of history. The rest - no, no, nope.

Liz was so desperate to get Lucky back that she would think anything was a sign that they should be together. This was not a sign from Jake to get back together no matter how much she wants to twist it that way. It was pathetic that she faked a breakdown just a few weeks after this just to get him back. I did want to see LNL2 reunite when JJ came back cause that's what they promised him but of course they had to screw that up with the affair with Nikolas. By that point it was time to let go but they had to write Liz this way still instead of letting her grow for a change and at least letting them remain friends and parents only.

It's what got Roy killed. He could have been a very rich man if he'd married Jennifer Smith, but he loved Laura & he was too honest. When they went on the run he risked his life several times to protect her. So there's much more to it than he just raped her.

I'm confused. Did they change writers from a few months before? As Luke said Liz was telling Luke it was an accident & not his fault it was hers. So u totally changed gears. Lucky was telling him he would be there to help him if he went to rehab & from the last Luke clip I saw Tracey checked him in & unless he left early or fell off the wagon again from around may/June of that year. Also it really annoyed me when Liz said to lucky " we promised jason we'd keep him safe " yes I do recall either during lizs pregnancy or just after Jake was born jason did mention marriage. The writing during 2005 when Liz got pregnant was very strange. Liz & jason had never been even a couple. They had a flirtation right before jason left after Carson random Hare sex. Jason & Liz I recall again a flirtation til jason dropped Luz for Courtney (ugh) they divorced & jason moved on to Sam for a couple years. The writing then got screwy. Jj left & I know lucky was a very important character but neither recast Jacob young who was not good & GV did a good job but wasn't lucky at all. He didn't have the chemistry he had w/ Liz Luke Laura when she briefly returned or Nikolas when Tyler came back to replace his recast. Some characters just can't be recast. Some can if they didn't make their character legendary or didn't play the part long. Sarah brown was amazing as Carly. Her first recast tamra was a good actress & was OK but just wasn't Carly to me. They had a 3rd Carly who didn't play her long cause the fans really weren't into her at all lol. She was nothing like Carly. She had zero chemistry w/ everyone else. I thought LW was good & when Micheal was shot I felt she owned the role of Carly she was that brilliant. She also brought a more maturity to Carly which was good as Carly had been growing up as the years went on. she also had really good chemistry w/ everyone & I felt she brought a sorta classiness & was a more productive Carly. She was divorced from sonny & I thought lw's best chemistry out of all the love interests they gave her including sonny was the best w/ Jax. I liked that Carly was more removed from the mob element that Carly was just the same appendage to sonny & jason. Yes she ran to jason all the time & never stopped & did cheat on sonny a couple times while w/ Jax before they married & after when they brought Micheal to the clinic in a coma. She ran the hotel w/ Jax & we actually saw her working there all the time. The previous carlys once she sucked on to jason then sonny was all about then & never bothered working. Anyway as I was saying Liz & jason were never a couple or were intimate so 05 aka " summer of sleaze " had lucky as a cop which was so ooc for what it seemed lucky would be. He loved his dad as this outlaw the guys he looked up to cause of the connection to his dad were sonny & jason. So it was a random choice to make lucky a cop. The only thing I could see was lucky was a good kid & had his moral compass & wasn't a hypocrite or bad kid. So I guess I can see him in a field that helps people. So 05 it was random to me that when Liz saw lucky & a drugged out Maxie getting it on it was crazy she ran up 15 flights of steps in a blackout to go sleep w/ Jason. Her first impulse was to run & cheat w/ Jason a guy she obsessed over for years. Then they had jason who's mantra forever was people do what they want to do & not to make decisions for them. So he dumps Sam after she was shot in his arms & decided his life wS too dangerous but as Sam said u don't get to make that choice for me. So she goes & sleeps w/ ric! Ridiculous which of course jason spies & sees. We're they doing a Carly 2.0 w/ Sam sleeping w/ her newfound moms husband.
