Portia, Trina's heart is shattered, and thanks to whom? To you my dear. For 20 years you built your entire existence around a lie. Don't pretend all of this was to protect Trina. You know very well that the fault is only yours. Don't try to make others feel guilty when it's only your fault.

All the emotional manipulation, mental gymnastics, and scapegoating Portia is doing here are sad (and I do mean PATHETIC) attempts to convince herself she did the right thing by lying to Trina, Taggert, and Curtis for two decades. Portia thinks she's softening the blow by using Trina's feelings as her motivation for keeping the secret so long. If she would wholly own up to the fact that this disaster is one she's created, the people most affected by her lies would be willing to forgive her sooner.

Portias argument don't hold water. Even if you kept the secret to protect your child don't you dont think he would want to protect Trina too. You took away his choice twice. The first time it's understandable he left. He was angry you lied. The second time he came back into life it is indefensible that you didn't tell him. I get why you didn't tell Trina and even Marcus to a certain extent but there is no excuse for not telling Curtis when he became into your life other than you didn't trust him. If he leaves for that reason I can't blame him. That's not about a lie anymore it's about a lack of trust. You can't just say it's because of Trina that's not a defense. She needs to admit the truth to him. I didn't tell you when you came back into my life because I did not trust you keep the secret. You told me how important it was to have a child. There is no way you would not have wanted a paternity test done. And that would be totally believable from his response. He desperately wanted a child.

I Honestly Feel Bad For Curtis. They Always Keep Lying To Him Again And Again. Curtis Deserves More He Should Be Happy And Not Be Hurt And I Wonder How Long Will They Keep Lying To Him. How Will Portia Not Know Who's Trina Real Biological Father Is She's A Doctor. Mostly Why Hide The Secret From Curtis. Curtis Never Did Anything Wrong And Yet Portia Hid The Secret All These Years.

Oh good grief, why is Curtis making this about him? They had an affair, he broke it off and then Portia finds out she's pregnant. It gave her the chance to not only salvage her marriage but give her child a family. Despite her mistakes she's a good mother and Taggert is a good father. And even though their marriage didn't work out they have co-parented beautifully. Trina comes first.

It is about him though. If someone sat with you as you talk about wanting to have your own child and the knew that there is possibility it already happened yet said nothing wouldn't you take that personally. He desperately wanted a child. I've seen the conversations they've had about children and Portia with a straight face never once mentioned Trina. Ive seen Taggert and Trina tell him not once that he is not Trinas father and Portia stood right there and said nothing. He has a right to be angry. A right to be hurt and a right to take it personally.

That is no excuse for lying lies hurt the people we love regardless of the intentions lies hurt and they tear relationships apart and Curt’s did not hate her he broke things off because he found out that she was married
