Gio asks questions abt Trina but it cud be seen in a friendly way & gh cud make him fall for Joss instead (or do a love triangle). If Gio ends up w. Trina, cool. If Spencer comes back, cool. I just dont want Joss as the center of Trina's story anymore. GH needs to give our girl something to do. She was so good on the adventure storyline where she was hiding on the ship to save Spencer. Taby can be used more than this.

They wanna see if each couple tests well w/ the audience. *le sigh* I love adventure GH. Make Trina solve an art heist or something 🤣

​@marshagreen9759 It's highly doubtful that Spencer is coming back. GH doesn't have the budget for another long-term contract player after getting Jonathan Jackson back. That's why Michael Easton was let go.

@robinrobinson3128 Spencer won't need to return to GH for very long, just long enough to get Trina back and leave together. Michael Easton is a class act but, his current storyline with Liz wasn't written well at all. GH looks really desperate to bring back Jonathan Jackson who was living in Ireland with his wife and their kids. I guess that Gio and the other new characters haven't brought in ratings and media attention and Steve Burton's return to GH has been a bust. I think that Tabyana will be leaving GH when her contract expires early next year.

Gio is getting information from everybody. I don't know if he is gathering information to report back to someone or what. Joss and Trina did the same thing. They both gave Gio information on each other. He's slick. He gets information about Joss from Trina, and he gets information about Trina from Joss. Gio did that for some reason but not sure why just yet.

Thank you LMMN for the recaps. Because of the way Gio was introduced to Trina. I see the Spencer he will never be whenever I see him. From the outside looking in It looks like Trina has been placed in a reaccuring or background player status while being in a contract status. Also from the outside it looks like the writers are trying to dismantle the character of Trina little by little in my opinion They have already start to put distance between her and her family she has had no scenes with her Mother or Grandfather in over four Months, Its going on a month since scenes with Curtis and don't get me started on Taggert. In my opinion Finns drinking storyline should of been his . But, I digress. Now it looks like her relationship with Ava is getting ready to be fractured. Just my thoughts

It was distracting to me at times because onscreen I could tell she was more comfortable with him Than NAC. Yet, NAC was supposed to be the boyfriend (Spencer) when at times it seemed like she preferred to act with Evan. It was way too obvious in certain scenes Tabyana couldn’t even hide her preference.

@lisacox5405 It was and still is obvious that the powers that weren't going to explore that. Dex is another character that we barely know anything about and his storyline is really all about Joss and her family. NAC and Tabyana became a super couple or power couple who brought in ratings and media attention and GH really doesn't have another young soap opera power or super couple but they want Joss and Dex to be a power or super couple but the powers that be have made it so if anything goes wrong Joss knows that if something does go wrong that Carly and or Jason will fix whatever the problem is.

@amusicfan25a21 that last part that u said is so true. Years ago, the young cast always figured out their own problems. We had Nicolas, Gia, Lucky, Zander, Jason, Carly, Robin (Elizabeth & Emily too tho they always got saved).. then later, Maxie, Georgie, Dillon etc. It was always fun, interesting, suspenseful, or romantic watching them. They were always in trouble & got themselves out of it. It was a joy to watch them grow as ppl. W/ Joss, if she gets in trouble mama Carly or Uncle Jason can fix it w/ a snap of a finger. There is no growth w/ her. Gh needs some fresh, interesting young ppl to spice things up.

It doesn't look good to hear Joss tell Gio about Trina's loss, but it shows that the powers that be want us to focus on Joss. I don't expect Tabyana to be on GH past her current contract, which expires early next year.

I think if they leave Trina in a grieving state it could be the demise of her character. They already don’t give her much to do. A little situation with Gio could lead to a story. Just my opinion. I wish NAC was still here but…….

@GwenCarson-fm4uh Gio is a sweet, boring guy who won't upstage Dex. I also highly doubt that when Jonathan Jackson returns that we will have to hear about how he's a talented musician every time that he's on-screen. If Gio is a good actor, the powers that be shouldn't need to bring up the fact that he plays the violin every time he's on-screen. Trina is being treated like sloppy seconds again, and she deserves better than that. I think that Gio is being set up for failure.

I will say this on that. I personally liked the way NAC played Spencer...but that was NAC. I think people need to be mindful of that. He wasn't the first person to play Spencer, so whoever the recast is could bring his own interpretation to Spencer same as NAC did. He doesn't have to play Spencer the same way NAC did anymore than NAC didn't play Spencer like the person who came before. NAC didn't play Spencer the way the person before him did, and some people had mixed feelings about that. NAC doesn't own the character...so whoever comes next can do what they want and fans can like or not like it. The recast may take Bechtel and NAC's versions and blend it together and some people may have feelings about that. So, that's why I am hesitant for a recast because based on what I have noticed with recasts lately...they tend to bring their own interpretations and it can be hit or miss. I don't mind a new interpretation of Spencer though. I kind of wish the recast could bring in some of Bechtel's version because I think that would be really fascinating. I'm newish to GH so I did't start with Bechtel but did recently go back to watch some of his videos when Tyler Christopher passed away. Bechtel had some really cool elements I wish a recast would explore.

@@amusicfan25a21 I think you are highly mistaken. It's very clear Gio has secrets. They are building the story which is the way it is supposed to be. They have already been showing clues. He didn't offer Trina and Joss the apartment for no reason. He clearly still has a key or some kind of access to it because he let himself in. I think he keeps asking questions to get intel on people....for someone. I don't think it's just because he is a "nosy Italian". Joss has given him quite a bit of information. Trina is closed off right now so he isn't getting a lot out of her. So, he treads lightly with her. That's why we aren't seeing alot of scenes with them ...yet. He has shown interest in Trina...he only talks to Joss to get information out of her. He is clearly trying to understand how people are connected. So, now he knows Joss and Dex were together and Trina lost her boyfriend. He clearly feels some devotion to Sonny so I think that's going to play up. He feels devotion to Sonny the way Trina feels to Ava. I think there will be some story there. He mentioned having access to some back stairs or something in the main house...why would he care about having access to some back stairs? The violin playing I think is a cover too. I'm not saying he is a criminal...but he definitely is up to some shady stuff. I hope this continues and not end up a nothing burger. It's been awhile since I've been interested in something with the YA cast.

Gh writers are fooling Trina fans about where her storyline is going. Nothing about gio comes off as interested in Trina. At first I believed it when gh had the actor playing gio say he was brought on for Trina but it is obvious now that is not true. I honesty don’t see any relationship coming for Trina and gio they seem more like friends but no romantic vibe here. After watching recent Trina scenes it’s obvious gh is wasting what is left on tabyana contract hoping that she will leave when it is up.

They’re not though. Trina fans clicked this since his first scenes. There’s a reason why he met Joss and Dex first. I think ultimately that’s where he’ll end up. In a triangle where he’s used as plot point for the Jex relationship.

@@amusicfan25a21 That’s more or less where I think it’s headed. I see ppl making every type of excuse for interactions he’s having with joss, but I need ppl to be real. This is not the energy a young man has when he’s interested in a woman. He’s not catching glances at Trina. He’s not asking her any personal questions. No subtle compliments. Them laughing in the background of a scene doesn’t cut it when he’s been on canvas for weeks. So according to the “he’s for Trina crowd” I’m supposed to ignore the looks of disappointment he had when he found out about Jex. Or the constant flirting with joss? I’d encourage them to question the writing choices. Or Trina being positioned away from joss and Gio while they talk. She’s on the outsid for a reason.

Same. I like they are not moving it too fast. It looks like they are building their story around the Sonny vs Ava situation. He will defend Sonny and she will defend Ava. I wish they didn’t have to build it around those characters, but it would give Trina a story so there’s that. I feel like they are too young and should be having fun this summer- not getting involved in Sonny and Ava’s issues.

If they want to keep the character if Tabyana wants to leave or if they let her go after her contact is up they will just recast the same way they recast her when Sydney left, right? The story doesn't have to end with Tabyana. If GH wanted to end the character with Sydney, Tabyana would have never been on. So, this doesn't have to be the end for Trina. It's up to GH. So, that's not a concern to me. I don't have blind devotion to the actors...actors get replaced all the time. I'm more curious about the future of the black characters on the canvas. I'm sure there will be people that will stop watching when Tabyana leaves...and that's fine. I'm not here to tell people what to do one way or another. There will still be people waiting to see what Trina 4.0 can bring if they do decide to keep the character. -I'm going to end this conversation on that note.

I really hope they're not trying to connect Trina with Gio romantically bc that guy looks like a kid/teen. No shade to that dude but he seems very young. Spencer grew up and started giving us grown man energy and finally made Sprina seem like a real young adult relationship. This seems like a step in the wrong direction romantically for Trina if that's what they're trying to do.
