Amazing how Monica lives in that house.. And continues living there 42 years later. Ive been watching since 1978... Before the house was built! RIP Stuart Damon!

Speaking for myself, I am not color-blind. I had the biggest crush on Stuart Damon and had a huge collection of posters/photos of him on my bedroom wall back in the 80's. OMG he was soooo beautiful. Look at that sexy twinkle and sparkle in his eyes. I remember rushing home from school just so I could see him on GH. Oh how I would have loved to be Monica for one night! This man is absolutely gorgeous.

I agree...............I was always team Alan. I know murder is not ok, it is just a soap but it wasn't just like Alan was a psycho it was the slow build that made him that way over the course of time and after all of Monica's lies, wanting Rick and then getting Rick then lying about the baby. I didn't blame Alan in the least. It was a momentary lapse of reason by someone pushed over the edge. I miss Alan a LOT!

This clip is a little gem..After watching these old eps the past few months, despite all the theatrics, I really think Monica wanted to move back into the Q mansion which is the reason the taped confession was suddenly forgotten. Monica didn't go off the deep end like Alan did, although her lying and cheating was pretty bad in itself, but deep down she was just as troubled and desperately wanted a family. The Q's may have been dysfunctional but they filled a huge need for her. She was infatuated with Rick but he was a selfish guy himself and was not going to fill all her needs.

I agree. I cannot imagine Monica being ANYONE but a Q. Monica had a mother/daughter relationship with Lila. Edward respected her, I always felt like she and Edward #1 were always in sync long before Alan caught up with them. As for Alan and Monica their fights were fun & explosive but when it got down to tenderness Monica could go there sometimes and Alan was so caring to her especially the breast cancer storyline. So many great stories in the 80s & 90s with these two together.
@MicheleKateWhy11 жыл бұрын
GHRickLesley Yes in many ways Monica was more of a daughter to Edward and Lila than Tracy was and I loved Tracy too (1978-80 version). I missed so many of those later stories...stopped watching GH about the time DA left the show. Thanks to generous folks like yourself, many of us have been able to watch the clips. That cancer s/l made me cry...so much heart in that story. Thanks again for posting your classic clips.

I agree you guys! Monica proved herself a Quartermaine LONG before she herself realized she belonged with them and with Alan. I loved how she and Edward were always a step ahead of Alan. But I also loved that Lila pretty much knew her better than any of them. MicheleKate...exactly. Monica's need to fill the void of a real family who loved her and took her for what she was was fulfilled when she married Alan. Rick would have NEVER been able to keep up with her. And she would NEVER had stood by while Rick continuously tried to 'save the world' the way Lesley did.

I miss Alan too. Today, AJ is in serious trouble with his alcohol relapse. Carly is using her past experience to help her sons, wouldn't it be perfect to have Alan and Monica doing the same for AJ? Alan's gone - so its up to Monica to help. Like Lila guided and helped. This is the year of the homage...so it would be perfect for Monica to connect with AJ about mistakes that brought them to this point..and also discus her and Alan's pain that lead to addictions. Its a grand writing opportunity!

First, Stuart was so handsome here... What was Alan to do? Just let Monica leave with AJ after what she did to him and AJ and the Q family? Ok, he tried to murder her and Rick, but the way the two of them where willing dump and lie to Alan/Lesley to get what they wanted...I didn't blame him. Especially since Monica knew even then the fact that Alan's pain was due to disappointing Lila and the criticism of being helpd as a fool by Edward. Alan had no reason to let AJ go with Monica.

@Ordinaryfool... that was such a missed opportunity and a waste of SK's time on GH. And a wasted opportunity to use LC's acting chops to the max. Imagine had they written something like that...rating would've been ridiculous!

Whatever happen to Howard Lansing? I mean, the character just seem to have disappeared from Port Charles out of nowhere during this time. No explanation, no goodbye, no fan fare, nothing! Strange how he just vanished and was never seen or heard from again. On a serious note, did this actor, who played Howard Lansing die in real life? Just curious, never saw him in anything else after GH.

I always liked him too. Hate the way soaps have dumped their older workers and the sad thing is that when they bring them back, the ratings, even looking at the ages 18-49 they love, go up, not down. The younger actors they hire aren't keeping anyone watching.
