The Pentonville storyline was one that had deep meaning and personal development for Michael. It took almost a year for him to come to terms with what had happened there. And it turned out that Jason had already suspected it, but let Michael come to him when he was ready. He was more than an uncle, he was the father-figure that Sonny and AJ weren't.
