Laura is the only one who truly understands Luke's trust and abandonment issues. Not Knocking Tracy here, she tried, but she just didn't "get" it. Laura is such a nurturing person, she understands perfectly, and is TRULY the ONLY one Luke ever really trusted!

I think we all pretty much knew/know who Luke Spencer is.. and we never wanted a hero or a saint, just him to be true and faithful and respectful to the woman he loves! There's still time!

We are supposed to Love to Hate Tracy Quartermaine. She is a fantastic character and Jane Elliot an amazing actress.... but Luke and TRacy.... hmmm .. Still think Laura had the best line on the subject "that doesn't even make sense!!!".

@sussezq Okay thank you! I've watched it like seven times and thought that's what he said but couldn't be sure. You're right, he is one of the most compelling characters ever! He can sink down to the depths without Laura pulling him to the surface for air.

Yes my fellow GH fans ...but Laura always pulls Luke up for air even when he himself don’t think she should! But in his life Luke’ s crazy mix up life I his heart of hearts he dose he dose and always will fro his Laura’s sake.. and for hid frame of mind. JMVHO. Rosie out!

Alright, this scene is just breaking my heart. It highlights so perfectly how Luke wants to be with Laura every second before she leaves because he is afraid she'll 'throw away' their love again. This is her moment to prove she wants him over Scotty, her big moment of truth, and he's so afraid. I really appreciate that Laura doesn't want his last memory of her while she's gone to be of her walking away from him. But! What does he say at the end? He just mouths it. Is it come back or goodbye?

@@mowthpeece1 You are absolutely right. Elizabeth Taylor was a cover for many gay men. She was so kind and understanding. That is one reason she was so loved by all in Hollywood. Tony and Genie are both incredible actors. Genie said that Tony was very protective of her and very good at making her at ease in their scenes together. They have both said they are acting soulmates.

GF in a short interview with saying goodbye to him when he retired and she said you’re my soulmate. They just had a deep love and respect for each other

Yes okay, you are right. Jane Elliot acts really good and the Tracy's character has spice, but I prefer Luke& Laura,LoL.

Prince Baldwin.. and he sees himself the pauper.. and never quite understood why this woman would want to be with him. That wrapped with his ego and bravado, make him one of the most human, compelling characters ever created IMHO.

@dc8058 I totally repsect your opinion.. but Luke Spencer is EXTREMELY insecure... and he hides it real well behind that bravado... but Laura truly is the only person to see behind it all. His father beat him, his mother died when he was just a little kid, you know he didn't get therapy. He has always been portrayed as having SEVERE abandonment issues..but he never really lets himself get close enough to care. Laura is a different story.. Ruby.. his reaction to Smith's shake down... Bobbi..

Luke realizes they just put an albatross around his neck. If I'm not mistaken it was Helena who was the anonymous donor. "I don't want to be a hero. I don't want to be a saint." He just wants a normal business and a normal life. This Luke really wants those things.
