The writers today seriously need to watch these scenes to learn what real writing was about! GH was absolutely at its peak during the mid-to-late 90s (and even into the early 2000's) but the garbage going on today... I can't even with it! So many characters on the canvas don't even have a point and bring nothing to the show (who the heck cares if Cody is Mac's son? What has Austin's point ever been?). Back in the day, I was so invested in GH and what was going on with Luke, Laura, Sonny, Brenda, the Quartermaines, the Cassadines, etc. and now I don't even watch it. The only half-interesting folks in town are Victor and Esme and the writers don't seem to know what to do with either of them lol. Even the 'mystery Hook' storyline is stale, boring and needs to end. Everything is so anticlimactic now, nothing like the plot twists of the past (who saw Lily's dramatic death coming until it happened? Who knew Laura and Stefan were getting busy behind Stavros' back lol) and really, whoever the Hook is, will anyone even care at this point? GH needs to get back to basics and eject the deadwood like Cody, Austin, Marshall, Spinelli et al.

I know this comment was a long time ago, but this isn't a movie. It's a daytime soap opera. You can also call them daytime dramas. As of 2023, GH is celebrating their 60th anniversary. So there's a lot of episodes.
