Javed Ahmed Ghamidi is a Pakistani Muslim theologian, a Quran scholar, and an educationist. Mr. Ghamidi is a student of Maulana Amin Ahsan Islahi and Maulana Abul A’la Maududi. Mr. Ghamidi has authored several books, including the bestseller ‘Meezan’, in which he presents a comprehensive treatise on the entire content of Islam. Mr. Ghamidi is a researcher and a critical thinker who has challenged many aspects of the traditional Muslim schools of thought on the basis of evidence from Quran and sunnah.

Wudu in Arabic means to wash. The Sirah of Ibn Hisham (from Ibn Ishaq) mentions wudu in the early Meccan period. Then there are Hasan Ahadith that the angel taught the Prophet (saww) how to do wudu.

میزان کے ایک صفحے 14 پر سنتوں کی نشاندھی کر کے فہرست بنا کر کے غامدی صاحب نے فرمایا "سنت صرف یہی ھے". کیا اس فہرست میں وضو کو سنت کہا گیا؟ اگر نہیں (اور یقیناَ نہیں) تو وضو سنت کیسے ھو گیا؟ یا کیا میزان کے اگلے ایڈیشن میں مذکورہ فہرست کی درستگی کر دی جائے گی؟ اور دوسری بات یہ کہ قرآن نے انشئیٹ کیا یا پہلے سے حکم تھا، اس کی تخصیص کی بنیاد کیا ھے؟ جبکہ قرآن نے تو اصولی طور پر بتا دیا کہ جو دین آخری نبی پر اترا وھی دین سابقہ انبیاء پر نازل کیا گیا۔ دین اپنے اصول میں تو سابقہ انبیاء کرام علیہم السلام سے چلا ھی ایک آ رھا ھے۔ تیسری بات یہ کہ بلکہ مشورہ ھے کہ اس میزبان کو ناظرہ قرآن پڑھنے کی ضرورت ھے، چاھئے کہ دیکھے بغیر یہ قرآن نہ پڑھا کرے اسے نہ عربی لنگوسٹک سینس ھے نہ درست اعراب کے ساتھ کوئی آیت زبانی یاد۔ آپ کا بے حد شکریہ۔ نوٹ: ھو سکتا کہ کہا جائے کہ یہ کسی سنت کے "متعلقات" میں سے ھے، لیکن جن کے متعلقات سنت ھیں ان کے ساتھ باقاعدہ متعلقات کا لفظ لکھا گیا ھے۔ مزید یہ کہ مونچھیں، زیر ناف بال، بغلوں کے بال اور ناخن، سب بذات خود الگ الگ سنت کے طور پر بیان فرمائے گئے ھیں، نہ کہ صفائی وغیرہ کے متعلقات سے موسوم کیا گیا۔ جواب کا منتظر
