Good innovation...the creation of binders should not hinder us from mass production. The chemical institutes in Ghana can provide low cost alternatives for making binders. knust chemical engineering institute /KPoly/ other technological institutes should be on board. Ghana has huge tons of grass in the savannah region. I'm waiting to see more from grass charcoal! Vamos Ghana!

“Producers make grass charcoal by harvesting dried savannah grass and burning it to produce an organic carbonized matter. Making the grass briquettes requires a binding agent to ensure the organic carbonized matter sticks together. Instead of using income to buy a product that binds the organic matter together, the locals have “developed a cassava dough that works just as well.” Then, the mixture goes through a compressor, which creates the briquettes. Then, the briquettes dry and are ready for cooking or selling at the market“

The irony in this new technology is that, most people will shift their focus to harvesting these grasses and selling them for profit instead of feeding livestocks…lol
