Nice Ad,,, question for Frito and Pepsi... will they compulsorily send their employees home for a week off on Diwali, to spend Diwali with family or will they spoil a few employees' Diwali by preventing them from going on leave for more than a day.. similar for the agencies servicing them.. when these emotions are used for commercial gains by companies who neither really value these emotions nor do they ever make an effort to follow these practices, I feel like puking.. not limiting this to Pepsi/Frito... but to all MNCs operating in India.. or for that matter all corporates operating in India.. excuse my candour and rudeness but this is the reality we tend to forget when we see these commercials...true emotions do not need ads to be reminded of... neither do true bondings..

raj chatterjee is right. all mnc including corporates are so narrow minded when it comes to giving a week of holidays for diwali. although these same companies are bound to give a week of paid leave for employees in the states and Europe during christmas and new years eve. the burning question remains are we the citizens of the third world liable to discrimination just coz we have a different religion

Wait, I didn't get it, where did the parents disappear to? And who decorated the house and lit it up in their absence? Didn't they realise that the place was so lit up even though they weren't home all day. I'm confused. Maybe wrong in my thoughts. Someone explain please!

One possible explanation- Since the house was closed, the kids might have stayed some place else, and the parents in the evening, after decorating the house, were off to see friends nearby. when they returend they were not paying attention to anything but getting in their home which explains why they were not surprised with the lights etc. Just one way to think about it. Also, keeping in mind, its just an advertisement, not everything has to have an explanation..:) have a good one & Happy Diwali!
