Arvi! Also known as Taro or Colocasia, Arvi is a popular root vegetable in many Indian and Southeast Asian cuisines.
Ingredients:
500g medium-sized Arvi roots, peeled and chopped into bite-sized pieces ( अरबी उबली हुई )
1 medium onion, paste ( प्याज का पेस्ट )
6-7 cloves of garlic, paste ( लहसुन का पेस्ट )
2 green chilli paste ( हरी मिर्च का पेस्ट )
1 teaspoon red chilli powder ( लाल मिर्च पाउडर )
1 teaspoon coriander powder ( धनिया पाउडर )
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder ( हल्दी पाउडर )
pinch of asafoetida ( चुटकी भर हींग )
pinch of garam masala ( चुटकी भर गरम मसाला )
fenugreek seeds ( कसूरी मेथी )
cumin seeds ( जीरा )
1 tablespoon kashmiri red chilli powder ( कश्मीरी लाल मिर्च पाउडर )
1 cup fresh curd ( ताजा दही )
2 tablespoon cream of milk ( दूध की क्रीम )
2 tablespoon vegetable oil ( तेल )
Salt, to taste ( स्वाद अनुसार नमक )
