Dont know if youve noticed it yet or not but there is an Imperial General to the left as you exit the camp command center on Scarlet Blaze route that... Confirms Count Gloucester and Acheron are both serving the empire in Three Hopes.

When I played the demo, one of the things that I enjoy is that many characters that have been mentioned in Three Houses make an appearance in Three Hopes.

Expanding upon Fodlands lore, is one of the things that really had/have me hyped for this game. 3 houses itself established a lot of lore, but it didnt have nearly enough time to explain everything, more depth is always wanted in my book.

6:35 Not that I think its impossible, but I think there's a possibility that the attempts on Count Varley are being misattributed to Rhea. While Hubert does claim that it's the Central Church that's made attempts on his life, Hubert's tone of voice and proclivity to shadier dealings, I wouldn't put it past Hubert to have been threatening Count Varley's life but making it look like Rhea's been behind it. We'll see what the main game has to eventually say, but I figure that should've been noted as a possibility.

I want to give some Arabic etymology for Almyrans in Fuukasetsugetsu/Three Houses. In my language Shahid means "martyr" or "beholder", Khalid means "immortal" and Nader means "rare".

Me too. From the backside he looked like a Vestra. And yeah Mr. Vestra totally didn't die because he betrayed Hubert's beloved Lady Edelgard and Hubert assassinated him as revenge plus speeding along the inheriting of his position. He just accidentally died while trying to arrest our boi Ludwig.

Just one thing, while Shahidt seem to not recognize Claude (probably cuz it would seem unthinkable to him to find his half brother is siding with the Alliance), I think Claude 100% recognized Shahid, but because at this point in the story nobody is supposed to know that Claude is actually Almyran, he feign ignorance.

One thing I like about the demo is that it seems like all post time skip three routes start at slightly different times. Verdant wildfire starts at the very beginning of the war with the great bridge not yet captured and Count Gloucester still aligned with the alliance. next is Scarlet Blaze which starts with Count Gloucester already having submitted to the empire but the battle at the monastery has not occurred yet. And the last is Azure Gleam which appears to be the latest with the church already fleeing from the monastery.

The other thing is that pre-time skip you can tell what went first. Specifically, Edelgard requests troops from the church to help her coup; then the whole thing with Dimitri happens with Seteth mentioning that they sent troops elsewhere (Edelgard's whole thing); lastly, the almyran invasion with Raph stating that only the Deers were left at the academy. The game is very clearly stating that there are no routes (yet) and all these events are happening regardless of your choice of house.

I was under the impression that it was less that Sahid and Claude/Khalid didn't recognize each other, so much as them just being coy about it, since Sahid took the effort to give a personal threat to the latter, and explicitly compared the two.

Here's the thing, Claude could very well look different when he goes to Almyra. Remember that the culture is different and so how he presents himself would follow suit (he's not about to go about the Almyran royal palace looking like a fodlan person right?). Add that to the distance Shahid is looking at Claude from and you can understand how he says Claude resembles Khalid and doesn't recognize him as Khalid.

I actually think that Hubert is the one that launched the assassination attempts against Varley at least fake ones to keep Varley from becoming to comfortable and plotting against Edelgard again. It would certainly make far more sense for him to be the one behind them as it's a large part of his character, than it would be for Rhea .

I love how this game that we all assumed would be "hack and slash emblem" became "dad and lore dump emblem". Also I saw this on reddit and will eventually verify myself, Dimitri says something different in his scene answering Rufus in Japanese and Chinese. He says along the lines of "I'm surprised too." in JP and CH instead of "But i must do what I must" in English.

Holst certainly did not disappoint, they made him everything I imagined he'd be with one surprising exception. That is its my impression that most, myself included, imagined he'd be an axe user what with his family's association with their relic axe (and thus perhaps a affinity for axes in general), so it was a surprise that he's actually a swordsman.

What's exciting is that there are still plenty of frequently mentioned characters in the original 3 Houses that we might still get to see. Here's a few that I hope we will be seeing: - Count Vestra (Hubert's father) - Lady Patricia (Edelagrd's mother, Dimitri's step-mother) - Glenn (Felix's brother) - Claude's mother (Balthus said she hot, soooo a bit curious there) - Maya (Raphael's sister) - Margrave Edmund (Marianne's adoptive father) - Count Ordelia (Lysithea's father) - Indech and Macuil in human form, as well as Seteth's and Flayn's beast form - The 10 Elites (wishful thinking but let's hope)

Vestra is unlikely considering Hubert "presumably" killed him. Patricia and Glenn would need to appear in a flashback. Claude's mother is possible. Maya, Edmund and Count Ordelia are doubtful since they don't play an important rule that would require their appearance. The Nabateans we would also need a flashback or maybe a DLC since Seiros is the only one that can still switch forms but of course the more people we see the better. But I would like more of them to be playable and it seems most will apparently stay NPCs since in a leaked chapter 4 Edelgard route battle we see Randolph as a green unit. Him and Ladislava deserve to be playable in my opinion.

Well it’s both a surprise and a non event. As opposed to the Kingdom and alliance, crests in the empire traditionally come directly from blood transfusions from the 4 saints. So Bergliez dad’s situation is no different from Bernie and Hanneman’s family sharing a crest. That being said, nobles and consanguinity is already a thing so I guess getting crests the way they did in the empire only makes the likelihood of overlaps higher. (Except maybe for Edelgard’s family and the Seiros crest as I can imagine there was a tighter lock on whom would enter the royal bloodline etc…)

@@_Just_Another_Guy Wasn't it Dimitri original plan to charge head first into Enbarr which is basically a suicide mission. Didn't 2 of Claude plans put innocent lives at risk. One in CF with the Bridge of Myridon where his plan's put innocent lives in front of army during a siege. Whilst in his own route, he falsely surrender which escalates the violence of war but also doesn't allow her to get her people to safety. ( Fun fact about a Medieval era and sieges. You were more likely to survive if you stayed in side the castle during a siege then either escape or leave the castle. So Edelgard keeping people but in a safe location within the castle makes most sense for the time. By extension Dimitri in AM does the right thing but not false surrendering. or Surprise attacking. ) The thing about Ballista platform is that the game makes it clear during WC that whoever control the platform. Has an advantage in the battle. It why Edelgard effectively put Bernie there because of Bernie own skill's. We also know that Edelgard goes to people an ask them if they do want to participate within the war and what they side they want to be on. As seen with Byleth and especially Petra who she allows to leave and side against her. So Bernie being there was her own choice. Overall, it makes sense why Edelgard destroys the platform since if she doesn't. It allows the other side a major advantages against her. Lastly. once Edelgard order the platform to be destroyed. All but one square is on fire. The square that Bernire takes up when she using the Ballista if you hadn't kill her. Overall, whenever, we are shitting on character. We need to make sure we not calling the kettle black here. All the character in the game do morally grey or bad thing's. All the lord's do, both Rhea and Seteth do. The only character that probably doesn't is Raphael.

What is great about Three hopes is that it looks like it will be the story that is lore heavy to explain and answer many question left unanswered in Three Houses. Down side is that the game is basically designed expecting the player to seen all endings of Three Houses to know important lore in advance.

Well according to the datamine Miklan should exist in the game and Sylvain doesn't have the lance so who knows what'll happen. I'm definitely hoping Lonato doesn't rebel again and a possible fight against Miklan will be different.

To be fair its never impilled that Matthias treated Miklan badly he was simple not the chosen as heir because they need the Crest and Relic to protect there land from Sreng. It's also impilled the real reason why Miklan was disinherited was because of how he tried to kill Sylvain multiple times growing up and might have alredy had his bandit group by then.

Really hoping we see Count Rowe, Count Galatea, Count Ordelia, Margrave Edmund, Marquiss Vestra and Zoltan. Didn't Cordelia experiment on Hapi resulting in her powers as well as was responsible for driving a wedge between Lambert and Patricia/Anselma? Since Ashen Wolves are confirmed. I'm wondering how they'll play apart to the Three Hopes plot. Hopefully it's completely different from how Cindered Shadows was structured.

I'm guessing Count Rowe will show up as possible an enemy mostly because Dimitri makes a point that he will be paying Rowe a visit to find out why he refused a royal summons. I don't think Zoltan will show up as he is from Sreng a northern nation that Sylvain family has fought with for over 200 years so unless like Almyra they Invade I wouldent expect to see much of them.

That could work, but tbh I don't see them buying or playing/progressing Three Hopes without having played Three Houses first. The trailers have been pretty clear that one should have prior FE Three Houses knowledge before Three Hopes.

I disagree with you on one point: I fully believe Claude recognized Shahid, but I definitely agree that Shahid, for whatever reason, couldn't recognize that Claude is Khalid. Claude's dialogue if you use him to fight Shahid fells like he's selling the con that Shahid isn't is brother rather than not actually recognizing him as such.

"Why, the central church even targeted him for assassination! Poor count Varley. I've pre-ordered a digital copy for my switch, I'm hype for the full game, I was unsure at first since the first FEW was lacking a lot of properties compare to the first Hyrule warriors but ever since I tried the demo of 3 hopes I got so intrigued that I'm definitely willing to give FE warriors a 2nd chance to shine by getting full version of 3 hopes

Shahid not recognize Claude as his brother makes sense if you account that he’s been gone for a year and probably didn’t tell anyone but his parents he was going to foldlan, meaning they all probably thought he finally died, so why would you assume it’s them, when they’re suppose to be dead.

Beyond that, Claude could just present himself differently when he's in Almyra (he could be wearing stuff that changes the way he wears his hair for starters; could be a 'never seen them with their hair down' situation). For Shahid, it's a case of "similar face, different person" without realizing it's the actual person.

Shahid trying to conquer ALL of Fodlan means that he would have to fight A. The Leicester Alliance B. The Holy Kingdom of Faerghus C. The Adrestian Empire and maybe TWSINTD and The Church of Seiros. This including extremely powerful people like Rhea,Claude,Edelgard,Byleth,Shez,Dimitri,Holst,Leopold and Nemesis. Considering that just the pre time skip Golden Deer students (along with Shamir and Holst[who mind you managed to FIGHT and SURVIVE Nemesis[who is one of the strongest characters]) were capable of defeating him, his only chances of him even defeating the Leicester Alliance are only AFTER the war with the Adrestian Empire

I like how Gautier basically heavily implies that the Central Church does tax the nations, hence why if the Southern Church takes over, the taxes on the Kingdom might increase a great deal. There's no way that he'd mention something like taxation if they accept the Southern Church unless it already existed from the Central Church otherwise. Also, I'm surprised that you didn't mention that Holst has no Crest. This means that the mightiest general of the Alliance is someone that lacks a Crest.

nothing implies that the central church taxes the other nations. Just because he's worried that the Empire will heavily tax the kingdom doesn't mean the central church does the same. They could have, but basing it on the empire taxing the kingdom is extremely flimsy at best.

@@Vandalieu Oh they do since it was also mention within Three House somewhere. I believe there was a dialogue mentioning that they take both taxes and expected nobles to donate to the Church. I believe the dialogue was from Dimitri and him being suspicious about Arundel due to his donation to the Church stopping very suddenly.

@@Vandalieu Again, if there's no such thing as taxation from the Central Church, Gautier would never even make such a remark. It's such an outlandish and out-there claim to make that the Southern Church replacing the Central Church would result in taxation. You don't make such a remark unless there's a basis to it. Edelgard already has Linhardt's dad working for her, so she already has control over the Empire's finances, meaning that the Southern Church doesn't need to be taxing people. So it can't be from that. Meaning that it's a concept that exists because the Central Church applies it. Not to mention, the Central Church has a huge monastery and its own personal army that is quite large. Do you think that you can maintain them purely on donations alone? Donations aren't a set or steady income. You'll need a reliable method to ensure that you can keep the monastery maintained and the army funded. So, yeah. It's highly likely, if not confirmed, that the Central Church DOES in fact tax the other nations.

I'm curious what they'll do with baron ochs I recently played balthus paralogue and we killed him in 3h over his daughter Monica in a weird ultimatum for balthus heroes relic. Won't be surprised if something similar happens in this game since she's alive and didn't get captures unless edlegard used her as Ransome to get a weapon.

@@nathant1171 I personally felt through implication that Sylvain grew up in a generally cold and unloving home even without Miklan's abuse, and it seemed to me as if Miklan's actions were also the byproduct of abuse and neglect. Because of how fucked up both kids were and their reactions to the Crestocracy, I assumed that Mattias didn't really love his children and saw Miklan as a disappointment and Sylvain as a studhorse as opposed to his son.

I'm more curious about how the Ashen Wolves are gonna fit into this game, like I would be stoked if they got their own route? IDK how the heck they'd do that but it would be awesome nonetheless. EDIT: Oh man, actually it would be cool as hell if they were part of a "church" route because of Aelfric, and it was like a Byleth side of the story instead of Shez with Rhea, Seteth, Flayn, Jeralt, Catherine, Hanneman, Cyril and Alois. Wishful thinking though, I just want Byleth back lol.

I just don't understand why people want byleth back. they really aren't a good character. The decision to make them a silent protagonist was just a bad idea, and heck, you don't even get his backstory if you didn't do optional supports with Hannemann and Catherine.
