What started me on my journey to ultimately find God... was when my sisters dad passed away... I left work and walked to her house to be with her because of it, and just before I got to her house. I had been crying as I was walking, then all of a sudden, I hear a voice that told me she couldn't see me crying, and I INSTANTLY stopped... i know it wasn't someone outside that said it, because there wasn't anyone around me... i stopped dead in my tracks to look.... the voice knew i was goin to be with my sister and that i was crying... even if that voice wasn't God talking to me. I STILL came to that ultimate goal of finding him

Wow! Your Pastor Paul sounds like he was a really special person. I saw all the other stuff you wrote, and I totally can relate to your experience in the word of faith churches. I had a friend who was teaching a class in the church on how to help people psychologically as Christians which I viewed as a form of sanctification. (Progressively setting ourselves aside to Jesus giving more and more of ourselves to Him as we grow in our walk, and the Spirit shows us stuff we need to give to Him.) It sounds a lot more complicated than it is. We had just completed the classes, and we were going to have an open evening on Monday nights where we could help people as they came in for prayer. I was really looking forward to practicing together what we learned and getting better and better at it, and all the people we would help. Then, all of a sudden, without a warning, she pulled the plug on the whole thing and decided to teach us from the writings of John G. Lake! So, when Justin mentioned him on here, my jaw dropped! I couldn't believe it! I never liked the teachings of John G. Lake, and just felt like something was very wrong about the whole thing. I am sure, looking back on it, that my friend must've picked up from me that I was getting creeped out by his teachings. And she never said how she stumbled onto this guy, or why she trusted him above anyone else. Actually, then, she started seeking out conferences with Dutch Sheets, Chuck Pierce, and Rick Joyner. I was always horrified at how mindlessly people I loved from that church followed those people. I know they must've seen how uncomfortable I was with it all. I really don't hide such things very well altho I do tend to keep quiet more than maybe I should. I could not get anyone to see it my way when we did talk, though. I just felt so alone there and so defeated when it came to trying to find out if they sensed a weird spirit too. If they did, they never told me about it. I just couldn't believe anyone could miss the stuff I saw! And, believe it or not, they were okay with it!!! She said we were little gods, and goddesses! Whatever it was would pick times when she had just told us what she was going to do, and then come up and make her laugh uncontrollably until she couldn't finish what she'd set out to do. I prayed silently for God to bind it and instead send peace, orderliness, and stabilize her, and give her clarity, and my prayer was answered immediately. Then, she would be able to complete her task. I left there, and have not found a church I have wanted to go to since then, and I now get all my teaching from Justin Peters, John McArthur, etc. I sing along with music videos, usually hymns. I have other friends who actually knew my friend at that church, and I fellowship with them from time to time, they too are without a church because actually, one of the couple I hang out with, he has also been through watching a church go off the wall, and eventually, be destroyed. So, I'm proud of you, godsdaughter, for taking a stand and getting out. I will pray that you, along with us, will find a church, and if we don't, who knows, it might just be that Jesus will rapture us too soon to worry about it! To occupy until He comes, I do devote a lot of time to reading the word and that seems to sustain me. I am reading through the bible in a year in order of the way it happened. (Chronologically.) I really thank you for your teaching it has truly made me START to see the things that I believed. I followed people like this for years thinking that it was truth. I will say now I feel that I carried a heavy burden and that so much was depended me. My children and grandchildren it is hard to explain really. But I am thankful that I came across your videos. There is one thing that bothers me though is that I don’t feel like laughing at these people who are so deceived I really don’t like for anyone to laugh at them. Maybe we should pray for them instead. I have only just recently come across this excellent teaching. I shall continue to watch the whole series. I would really like some advice on what is good biblical worship songs. I have never been happy with a lot of the contemporary music and the lyrics. So please can someone point me in the right direction on this matter. ie song writers, singers, hymns and sings etc. Having been a Christian for many years and involved in the faith movement/ Pentecostal movement I now see I have been following false teaching and doctrine and this has shocked me deeply. My eyes are opening to the truth but it’s going to take time to renew my mind and de-clutter my mind from all the unbiblical/ unscriptural stuff I have believe in. Thank you.

I got burned pretty bad, all my church family I barely know were praying for me. The second day in the burn center the excruciating pain just stopped. They were pumping the strongest painkilkers into my arm, borderline od levels, the terrible pain wouldnt stop. But that 2nd morning.....just stopped. Were praying for a lady doing Chemo. Her report this morning "its been 4 days, and I dont feel sick from chemo." I was able to stop drinking after a relapse, THAT NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE , I just said in the name of Jesus at cravings and didnt drink. I was drinking 24/7 its not like you think. I was over the edge without medical help.

I must say, that I was very intrigued about your gospel, until you got to the “voice of God”, then you became very confrontational. I am deeply sorry that you failed to “hear” the voice of THE MOST HIGH, but you lost my subscription when you went on to bash “anyone “ that claims that they have heard His Voice, because you are not privy to what goes on in one’s mind. I agree with the abuse of the baby, because that is not the voice of God, because in scripture, even God will tell you to question the voice you hear, lest you be fooled by Satan . Also, you are to take your prayers to Jesus, and ask him to take them to God, because Jesus Christ is the only way to THE MOST HIGH period. Maybe if you weren’t so bitter in your heart, and so down on women preachers, then you might not have missed His answer to your prayers, you seem to have lost your faith in God, because He most definitely DOES ANSWER them. The Bible states, ask, and you shall receive. I use to feel the same way about prayer, until I learned (how) to pray, then, I began to hear His Marvelous Majestic Voice, and I have been saved from many situations that could have been fatal to me if I had chosen to ignore His Voice. I am not asking you to believe me, because I don’t care if you don’t, because the proof is in the pudding, and I know what I saw and experienced through my contacts with the Lord, and that is enough for me. May you one day find your own peace with the Lord, be blessed.

I don't believe everything a man speaks is the truth but people do speak the truth sometimes. An opinion is an opinionnot a fact but if one is genuine and just wants to truely understand so that he/she may analyze information or a situation, his genuine and obvious conclusion will be based upon his knowladge (historical knowledge and personal experience) and the information available. This knowledge takes as its lubricant and to some extent its fuel. I don't really know the man far less his experience so I cannot vouch for him but I know that based on my experience and knowledge of history, but I can assure you that the historic facts that he is presenting as supportfot his argument is indeed recorded in history. I have discovered quite a few pieces of this information and more. respect anyone who is focussed on religion, politics, ethics, psychology or anything. But when it comes to my history, though I have a lot to still learn,, but I am anchored in my history. We sometimes like to go on our opinions. We don't usually learn the truth like that. I also always try to be openminded and willing to learn. Thank you.

I have been visited by Jesus in my home. I have been slain in the spirit. Both of these experiences were more real than normal life. It is unfortunate that this pastor doesn't believe in these types of experiences. While I agree with him that the Bible is by far the main way the Lord speaks to us, God is not limited to just the word of the Bible. Every good pastor should tell you to verify what he says by going to the Bible yourself. It's unfortunate that this pastor uses the extreme and states that it is the norm. We all know that there are false teachers out there. Pray for discernment, wisdom, and stay in the word. God will give you the ability to decide for yourself whose legitimate and whose not.

I'm in Kenya and I've not be to church in a long time because of the same dilemma. But you preach the gospel to whoever the holy spirit leads you to. They may or may not be a member of your church. But first ask God for wisdom. That's what the bible says.

So we see a principle there that can be applied deeper and larger but it continues to say (Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil) here in this segment is the principle of asking which implies that if you ask you will receive an answer. And as the Bible says (Ask and ye shall receive) As you and I know, God is good, true, faithful, just, righteous, compassionate etc. Whether it is now, or later, directly or indirectly, yes or no, not exactly as we expect, because he knows all things. But if we trust God, love God, trying by his grage and power to obey him, he will hear us and do according to his will, That is called a responce. It might not be in the way the charismatics interprete and expects it or maybe none of us but God will do something and even if he chooses not to answer, it is a responce so prayer to God is a means of communication with God. God is God, he can choose to answer when He sees fit with yes, Know or wait. We cannot tell Him when, how or if toamswer but as God he can answer anytime he wishes. My point is that we should not try to predict God. He works in misterious ways; we should not put him in a box, awe lack this authority, In Psalms it does not say "he shall call upon me and I MIGHT answer him, it says I WILL answer him. So even when we speak about the devil we must ask God to help us be accurate. So there are... "take it in my next comment"

Thank you for sharing these very important details that are essential truths. There is plenty of history on how the bible verses were manipulate to steer society in a perverse mindset. These are dangerous teachings false teachers are misleading and emotionally driven. Thank for being the iron God has called you to be. I loved watching Sid Roth "teaching" people how to speak in tongues. It may still be on KZbin. Think he has a textbook on it? To hear God speak, read His word. To hear Him speak out loud, maybe read His word out loud? We are told to pray according to His will. Jesus did that. Read the bible people!
