In 1994 I was 13 living in Glendale CA and 20 minutes away, the Romanians in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena wrote history and my brother saw the game live. Who knew such history wouldn’t be written quite so beautifully ever again for Romania. If anything this generation should motivate others to follow their example.

People of this generation will never understand just how technically gifted and how good that Romanian side was in the early to mid 90s. They moved the ball around with purpose and at times played football out of this world. Hagi was a name you'd bring up when discussing the worlds best footballers during the early-mid 90s. This was great to watch, some memorable names back on the pitch and some nice goals too.

Imi aduc aminte de Panduru cind era micut de 5-6 ani si tatal sau era cu el cind batea mingea in peretii blocului unde locuia tatal meu in Lunca Pomostului la piata in Resita, iar tatal lui spunea: o sa-l fac fotbalist pe fiul meu Domule Tanase .. si a ajuns..., multumim pentru acesti jucatori care au adus atita entuziasm si bucurie multor Romani din tara si strainatate.
