@@CharlesDorsey-ov2htno that’s Fly from the Savage Nomads. That clip is from the documentary 80 Blocks From Tiffany’s. Karate Charlie was the guy walking down the street with the beret at the beginning of this video at 0:23.

Thank them for me. Tell I said thank you for jump starting this beautiful culture we call hip hop. Tell them that they will never be forgotten, I'm one who will make sure of it. Now matter how many people try to ignore the history, I got their message and I will further spread it.

Scotty Spliffen someday more and more people will realize who the real true enemy is. It is no surprise that the establishment of the evil powers that be, the international bankers who control everything that is corrupted. These banking cartels or one day meet their own demise only because true power of corruption will get out of control because true power corrupts and destroys itself. - Dare To Speak

This makes think of the old days, the all or nothing days. My dad was a savage skull and I was a baby skull. The ghetto brothers had class, loyalty and respect for the outlaw brotherhood. Rest in peace Karate Charlie and Yellow Bengy. Gone but never forgotten, loved, missed and always cherised.

I would be really, really excited if some record company re-released this as a 12" single instead of the 45!!! There are some fun breaks that would be easier to do on a 12". Not only that, the sound would be so much mo betta!!!

This song sound like Sly and The Family Stone, "I want to take you Higher" released in 1969. Sly was influenced by Jackie Wilson "Your love keep lifting me higher and higher" and James Brown funk (horns and rhythm) band.

There is a lot of debate if the Ghetto Brothers are ones of the Hip Hop founding fathers. I think GB are ones of the founding fathers because they gave Hip Hop a cause, music to unite street gangs of different races and nationalities and stop killing each others. The black spades gang went to the GB shows and inspired by this unity message, they disolved their gang and created the Zulu Nation with the slogan "Peace, Unity, Love and having fun". Peace & Unity are the roots of Hip Hop and the GB used to be the main prophets in that area.
