Ghetts evolution has been amazing. I used to rate him cause he could fit the most amount of bars in the beat so creatively. Now he says half the amount of words with the same impact, if not stronger impact. He’s truly mastered the craft of lyricism and delivery. The way he says “I was 19 with a gun twice my age” or “knife in the whind, poke and breeze” YOOOO he’s too cold with out now 😅🥶

@@ip6310 I used to think he had but ghetts keeps leveling up and making songs on more levels. I kind of know what to expect when KA drops a project now but don't get me wrong he is also a phenomenal talent.

@@wandizzle I hear you, let me come with the football analogy. I see Kano as being Messi, pure elegance with it. The things he draws out is actually insane 🤯. Ghetts comes like Ronaldinho with the way that he leaves you constantly with that dropped jaw 😵. Straight showman pulling off things you never even knew were possible! Only difference is Ghetts stayed on his grind and now has hit mastery. Could you imagine the talk if Ronaldinho held that level of consistency. Perhaps you could still have conversation but realistically, he’d have gone waayyyy clear❕ For me, this is why Ghetts holds the crown 👑

@UCtO7SvVrBvBxgWe_Vgv0QiA spot on mate. Well said. Ghetts is moving like Ronaldinho if Dinho dedicated himself to the craft. I fully agree.

The evolution of Ghetts is the best thing I’ve seen from the UK scene. He’s literally transformed from a crazy youngster to a mature man, and his technique has improved every step of the way. He’s an inspiration too. Even in his darkest times, between 2010-2013, he never gave up. Sick man, sick rapper, sick interview. #Ghetts4Number1
@morpheus93943 жыл бұрын
Ghetts is a proper MC. He uses of words and the message that comes across is something special. Alot of so called rappers just use words to rhythm but the bar makes no sense and doesn't never related to the song title or the album. Having a full album with songs of meaning, full of amazing bars and the album flows well from one to another. Its such a rare art these and hats off to Ghetts for being a true MC. Definitely in my list of GOATs. Keep up the great work.

So refreshing. I was listening to the album during my morning run and some of the gems had me stopping in my tracks. The wickedest thing is... I argued for years, upon years that the world is NOT ready for THE MOVEMENT album, 'the climate's not quite right yet,' I said, 'it would be musicology too advanced for current ears.' Now, finally, the world - not just Britain, not just Europe or America - the WORLD, is ready for The Movement album, they're The Avengers, The Justice League… and it breaks my heart on a daily that I fear we’ll never get one! Just when the time is PERECT for The Movement to spin the world counter clockwise. To me a true GRIME MC is a tempo and pocket specialist by tradition, Ghetts, Scorch, Wretch, Mercs, Wiley, Skibadee, Kane, Doogz, Skeppy, Bushkin, Chip, Stormzy, D Double, etc... can rhyme on anything, because GRIME is an amalgamation of multiple cultures of lyricism, from the Dancehall Deejay to the Hip Hop Rapper to the African Griot. Fling on a Garage Riddim, Jungle Riddim, Grime Riddim, Dancehall, Funky, Afrobeat, whatever and watch them Tasmanian Devil it. Grime MCs are the Super Saiyans of all rappers - not even Kendrick or Cole could skip over all those different kinds of instrumentals with ease… Grime MCs do it without even taking breaks between riddims. Maybe a Kano and Ghetts album? Thank god we got CONFLICT OF INTEREST. LONG LIVE KING GHETTS!!

Ghetts evolution and growth/consistency, defying all odds, being under-appreciated while at the same time rated is probably the most gratifying journey to watch from the entire scene. I really wanted him to get number 1, this was the closest to a body of work from UK that made me feel the same I felt from Kendrick GKMC. Thats no fault to anyone else but this album just felt like 20years of work and growth into one masterpiece, altho he said it took him 2 years, it took all those years to be in a position to channel all his creativity. Seeing this interview, looking into his mind is amazing. D double has always been my favourite grime artist stylistically and Kano for bars, but I think Ghetts just topped it with this album, since he was shown his mettle in ALL fronts over the years. This is the interview we needed, you had the insight necessary to ask all the right questions, top notch 🤝
