I played this one time at work, then my co-worker asked me for the title of this playlist. He seemed really into it and even checked out different versions on youtube. I was so surprised to learn that an old school guy like him would be interested in jazz/bossa nova. I played it everyday since then and he would hum super off-key. But I remember always feeling so warm inside. His name was Gwyn. And he died 2 days ago. Work will never be the same. I wish everyone knew Gwyn. He was the most loving, kind-hearted, SELFLESS guy. I guess he is in a better place now ❤️

Story time: This takes me back to when me and my boyfriend were roadtripping from the Czech Republic to Spain and went through Lindau, a kind of "island" in Germany with its own climate and small population. After a full day exploring the island, when we were preparing to leave, an alarm sounded that this was a really heavy storm and camping could be dangerous. Therefore, we decided to spend the night. We asked around for some room to stay in, as it was unplanned, but everything was pretty much full because of the festival. Seeing as a lot of people were preparing for the festival, as we explored during the day, we saw some of the organizers. A group was drinking beer and seemed pretty friendly, so we approached them after some initial shyness. We ended up serving beer throughout the night as "payment" for a small cottage full of harmless huge spiders. It was incredible. Even though the storm was a brutal force of nature, these songs remind me of that day because of the happiness I felt. Thank you for reading :)

I’m a huge fan of studio Ghibli movies. I teach elementary school and I play the soundtrack while my kids are doing their independent work and also during tests. One day as I was giving one of our unit tests and I put on the soundtrack one of my students raise their hand. I walked over to her assuming it would be a question about what was on the test. She looked me in the face and asked if this from Princess Mononoke. Her excitement and smile made me laugh. I said yes it is and she exclaimed how her big brother had watched the movie with her and she loved it. This hit home for me because I watched the same movie with my Little sister when I was a kid. I’ll probably listen to over 50 hours of this video with my class and as a reward have shown them Totoro and Kiki‘s delivery service. To be able to show them such a good films and listen to such a good music is a joy. Thanks for putting this together!!!

You get up every day, never tired of the routine. No, it's quite comforting actually. You step outside for a minute, watching the sun rise and feeling the chilly morning air wake you up. Going back in, you start working. The baking bread and coffee starts getting stronger through the morning, along with the quiet bustle of customers ordering pastries and tea. Often the cafe will be empty enough that you leave it to your friend and talk to some of the regulars, chatting about your days. This is your favorite place to be.

Just wanted to share this here. I just recently moved to New Zealand, away from all my friends. I haven’t exactly had the best upbringing which led to me being overly attached to anyone who gave me the slightest bit of attention. But my friends did way more than that, they gave me so much more. One of my fondest memories that I’ll cherish forever is when we used to make pancakes in our school staff kitchen area whilst this playlist was playing. We bought ingredients at “Alfamart” which was a convenience store right next to our school. With our home-brought equipment, ingredients bought with our pocket money, and this playlist, we made pancakes for our whole batch, and some teachers who came to us out of curiosity. To all my Senior High School batch-mates out there, I hope you’re all doing well. It really was a fun time, probably the most fun years of my life so far. Ever since graduating college, it’s been just reminiscing about our SHS time. Life’s good right now, and I’m in a better place; but I do miss the innocence and simplicity of life before. Love you guys ❤

Thank you for sharing this lovely story. So nice that you were allowed to cook in your school kitchen in free time, as I understood right. I own a cafe in the south of France and this jazzy music is just _magnifique!_ The afternoon vibes and the setting sun plus the smell of roasted coffee and freshly baked bread by the sea feels so calming and tranquil… Just soft laughters and the sound of the crowd just quietly buzzing and blending into the background of the scenery… There were also frequent flocks of migrating birds heading towards the horizon and slow moving waves which made the scenery and mood better than it already is!
@jujiicherri3 жыл бұрын
Wow, that seems so magical!! What’s the name of the cafe? I live in France, and I might have walked past! If I haven’t, I’d love to come 🥰

@@jujiicherri oh my, i should’ve mentioned in my comment that this was just a scenery that I imagined (it’s because I saw a lot of below down the comment section sharing their imagine stories) and I don’t actually own a cafe in France. These tracks really instill me with memories of being in church. The gal at the piano playing tunes softly as ambience as we prayed and the preacher preached, made for some of the best and most relaxed memories i yearn for. I cant tell how many times i simply fell asleep with how calming that church was. My grandmother got mad at me the first couple times but eventually gave up and just let me, guess she figured i was listening anyways since i turned out alright, lol.
