You'd have definitely not missed the Buddhist chanting in the background. Guess what it is? It is none other than The Heart Sūtra in Mahāyāna Buddhism. Yes, Bear McCreary made the absolutely perfect decision to incorporate the chanting of the Heart Sūtra in composing the theme for King Ghidorah, the archenemy of Godzilla. I'll tell you why The Heart Sūtra perfectly suits the monster. King Ghidorah comes from the void. In this sūtra, Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva preaches the "Emptiness" of the universe aka the Sunyata Dharma to his disciple "Sāriputta". In Sinhala, we call this ශූන්‍යතා ධර්මය හෙවත් ශූන්‍යතාවය. The universal truth is that we come from nothing and goes to nothing. In other words, all phenomena are subjected "Sūnyata" - emptiness. Once a person realized emptiness aka nothingness, then he/she would uncover Enlightenment within. Now how could this be related to King Ghidorah? He brings ultimate destruction as a malevolent creature who'd completely annihilate the entire world using his sheer power. He is the Devil who makes the world empty by wiping out everything he comes across. In fact, ශූන්‍යතාවය (Sūnyata) = Zero King Ghidorah is also known as "Monster Zero". The fact that Bear infused the chanting of Heart Sūtra with a threatening and thundering theme suits a frightening and godly monster like King Ghidorah himself! In the Heart Sūtra, Avalokiteshvara says: "Listen Sariputra, this Body itself is Emptiness and Emptiness itself is this Body. This Body is not other than Emptiness and Emptiness is not other than this Body. The same is true of Feelings, Perceptions, Mental Formations, and Consciousness."
