I believe what we see here is a a part of "Une vie de ballets" which tells the story of both Thesmar and Pierre Lacotte through all the important ballets they worked on. It includes both their beginnings, him mostly interested in modern dance yet later became the one who worked on rebirthing the historical romantic ballets (Coppelia, Pepita, etc...). he had learned from a very old ballerina (famous though can't remember her name lol) who had herself learned them first hand form dancers of that time. Very interesting documentary that includes full ballets or long extracts.

Ergorova. But he didn't learn coppelia from ergorova. It was the oral tradition in paris opera since 1870. Zambelli was also her teacher.

She just wrote an autobiography which will come out in May. Wondering if it's worth buying it?? Guess it's interesting.

Just started reading it - very nice read full of anecdotes. Here's one about Nureyev: "A few days later, during a rehearsal in the afternoon, I saw the handsome Nureyev take my pretty pale gray tights in very fine wool and try it on. He did not seem concerned about my name prominently embroidered at the waist. He calmy put it on and when he passed in front of me with a big smile, I pointed out to him: "But it is mine!", and he placidly replied: "Well, they suit me very well!" And goodbye my tights!
