As soon as I heard what song it was, I knew just what part of the song that Papa Nihil would be brought back to life to play on. It is all just a very theatrical performance. It;s basically "theater", but NOT boring, plus, with MUCH better music.

It's an Alice Cooper show with anti-religious theatrics. Personally I prefer Ghost's theatrics over Alice. His hanging and guillotine tricks used to absolutely terrify me as a kid, though

@@AttilaThebung Yeah, Alice had inspired SO many rock/ metal bands over the years. At least the ones who put on a show that would thrill and entertain beyond just a bare bones performance. Motley Crue and definitely WASP would be on that list. Maybe King Diamond too? Tobias of Ghost most likely had been inspired by bands who had been inspired by Alice, if not Alice himself. Tobias has taken that type of show to a plain beyond what has been seen before. He's got this whole lore of "the clergy," and the line of succession of each Papa and the cardinal, along with Mary (I for get the other name for her) who has been the mother of these Papa's and the Cardinal. It's all kinda epic. Maybe Mary's other name is "Emperador?" Maybe not.... Most important is how good or even GREAT the music keeps being. It will keep me a fan of Ghost.

Have you checked the lyrics to any of the songs on Impera? Ghost are far from apolitical. Tobias Forge makes some of his political opinions clearly known in songs like "Kaiserion", "Twenties" and "Griftwood", as well as through actions like donating the proceeds from the Blacklist cover of "Enter Sandman" to a charity helping trans youth. I think it's clear where they stand politically, whether you're comfortable with that or not.
