I think the reason why she kills you anyway after she takes off her mask regardless of your answer, is because obviously she hates to be called not-pretty but she also knows you are lying if you answer yes, so you technically do think she's not pretty, which she hates anyone thinking about. Because she wants to be thought as pretty only. Some versions say she'll leave you alone if you answer "average" after she takes her mask off because then it's actually believable. Maybe you think her scar is ugly but that doesn't mean her entire face has to be ugly because of that. So she doesn't suspect you of lying. She just doesn't want anyone thinking she's ugly despite her scar even if it's just "average" pretty.

That's it. The flood gates were open, at first, my tiny brain thought that my comment would be swept away in the oceans of other people trying to get that several seconds of fame, but no - my comment beat them all down and gained likes. When I went to check back a few days later, I saw it - the big numbers and people complementing my joke and I was so happy that moved further into being funny and now I'm here. So, the moral of this story is that I got too carried away with this and now I wasted my time. Edit: Hey, I’m back again!
