As a ghost in the shell fan, I thought this show was good. I was disappointed with the art direction as most people were but nonetheless it is worth checking out if you have not seen it. Don't dismiss it just because it is 3D.

I liked sac 2045. Even though many didn't like the cg animation. The story was decent and was enjoyable. Gits is different in all its iterations anyway. So this just another one to add to the pile.

While I appreciate this anime even getting a continuation at all, without a shadow of a doubt it would have looked better if they just stuck with the 2D art style. I mean this isn't bad (except for that ONE scene we all know about), but I still wasn't impressed by it from an appearance standpoint. If it looked more like that Altered Carbon anime movie, then I could more get behind using a 3D art style. Hopefully, Season 2 will improve the look a bit more, whenever we even get it that is.

It's always the case with any anime that dare to take the 3DCG route. It really sucks, because it tends to steer any discussion towards the visuals instead of other aspects like story and characterization. At this point, I just avoid any discourse about a 3D anime's visual until after I watch it.
