Nice reaction! Gheleh/Zombie Queen is the centerpiece of Infest.. For the first time Tobias had a sizable studio budget, and was able to flesh out Ghost's sound - adding in choirs, organs, and lots of different sounds. The transition into Zombie Queen sounds (to me) like a spy movie or surf rock - with the tremolo, but a very cool choice to add to the song. Tobias has said he did not like the mastering on this album (that gets fixed for the next one - Meloria).

Ok well I’m not alone with the mixing. A remaster might happen I guess. Really excited to move on to the next one. I was kinda stuck on this album for a while trying to give it a fair shake. Thanks for watching

You're way too kind to have featured my Opus comment twice now - thank you man. I've so looked forward to this video! Year Zero was actually the first Ghost song I ever heard. What an introduction. Great song to sing in the shower, give it a shot. Can't wait to see what you think of the rest of the albums. As others have mentioned, their sound changes a lot over time and that's disappointing to some, but I love the evolution. Impera might be my favorite despite how much I love the earlier stuff. Take it easy man!

It's always fun to see your reactions! Fun and spot on. I funnits thing regarding the Scoobie Doo thing. Haters have during the years called Ghosts songs Scoobie Doo music. So, the date (sept 13 1969) for Ghosts 'first appearance" you see in the official video for Kiss the Go-goat, is actually the date when Scoobie Doo first aired in US television! Very funny! 😂 Guleh were the song the got me into Ghost. I also think it's a masterpiece and I always felt so alone. It's the least liked song in the Ghost community, wich is sad! Thank you for giving it the attention it deserves.

@colinlamb there's several different acoustic versions. They're all great. Jigolo har Megiddo is awesome. And If you have Ghosts is another amazing one. You really get to hear his vocals even through that silicone mask. There again, are several different versions, but, they're all very good.

Ghuleh/Zombie Queen is a highlight of all the live shows so far. If you actually go a live concert-you'll see some rather interesting special effects during that p[articular passage. 🙂 August 4 and 5th right over the border. (I may go to those as well-Pac NW is fun to visit in the summer)

Ghuleh and idolatrine are easily on my top 5 for ghost. But. The live acoustic version they performed for Sirius is my preferred version of ghuleh.

Obviously, I disagree with you about the rating. It's a 10 out of 10 for me. I think it's a better album than the first, though I love the first. Perhaps you need more time with it.

@@colinlamb He’s def up there, though surprised that you mentioned Forsberg before Salming or Sundin considering your cap. 😊 Jokes aside, there’s a bunch of incredible players in the NHL both Swedes and Canadians. It’s difficult to rank them in a fair way. For me, the awesomeness lies in the teamwork and the chemistry, you know 1+1=3. I’ve always admired a beautiful assist to a goal higher than the actual goal. 🙂

This album had some trouble with mixing! The whole album was mastered & some songs mixed or demoed to show the label. Label hated it and changed it, band rerecorded some songs in the south of the US. They had even more trouble to find chorus people to sing about the devil there, so they went to LA for finishing stuff and had to rush the mix because they were a little behind already. A lot of these songs had audible compression because of it. Meliora the album, and all albums after have awesome mixing though! I can't wait for meliora. Even the EP that came right after this has a better mix. If you want to hear what the first mix would've sounded like for this album, there's a single for secular haze on their KZbin channel with the original mix. It's completely different and more opus-ey

Oh man-all these songs are so good Live-but the album is mixed glossy and kind of dull-Tobias has threatened to remaster-re-record-and this album just record the live stuff-fer Shure 🙂
