Ghost, also formerly known as Ghost B.C. in the United States, is a Swedish rock band that was formed in Linköping in 2006. In 2010, they released a three-track demo followed by a 7-inch vinyl titled "Elizabeth", and later their debut full-length album Opus Eponymous.

Shane this song is so good. Ghost is one of my favorites, and I cannot wait for the next album. Now my experience on this song is that it came out right out around the time I lost a loved one, and it hit me like a truck. It actually really helped me get through that time, and process what I was going through. In fact that last album Prequelle really hits on the cycle of life pretty damn well and it gets you thinking. I'm super bummed because they came to my town right before the pandemic and I didn't go. I'm an idiot and will not be missing the next one if they come back around.

Life Eternal is such a beatiful song ❤️. The cool thing is that they never played this song in Mexico where the video is made. One other cool thing to think about is that if they had camera staff there (which people that were there has said they had) maybe we could get a live dvd before the next album is released. Tobias doesn't want to release new material until he can tour again so maybe late fall is the best to hope for. My love story with Ghost didn't begin until january of 2018. As a Swede i knew of them since the start of course but just didn't understand the fuzz. So it wasn't until they released He Is from Meliora as a single that i started to listen. But still i wasn't convinced and didn't even go when they played in my hometown Gothenburg late 2017. But then i bought Ceremony and Devotion when it was released and since then it hasn't gone one day that i didn't listen to at least one album. And i have seen them live and it was the best concert ever. Take note that i'm a music journalist and see a lot of bands live but no one has ever come even near. And finally to answer your question, there is no such thing as the best album when it comes to Ghost. It's the mood that decides which one i play. One day Opus is my favorite choice and the next Prequelle is the one i prefer. I have never heard a bad song. Even the covers they do is awesome. Thankyou for your support of Ghost. There is so much hate out there so it's fantastic to see your love of music and Ghost. I love Ghost!!!! I am not a super fan necessarily, so I don't know all of their material or albums, but I have heard quite a few songs and I've loved them all. I love the tongue-in-cheek religious references. I have enjoyed the social commentary. And I really dig the music! Truthfully, I don't know much about the whole Papa Emeritus story. I am a rather new fan of his, so I've never seen a live show... but I am looking to see them next time they are nearby!

Well, if you've followed Yoshiki's career, then you know that he worked on the movie Repo! The Genetic Opera, which has a similarly gothic aesthetic, and mix of heavy/melodic sounds, with influences grabbed from all over the world of music. Like the people behind Japan X, and Repo!, Tobias Forge, the mad mastermind behind Ghost, is a brilliant, theatrical guy with a master plan, and he loves to keep us fans on our toes. Ghost is a deep, deep rabbit hole to fall into, and well worth the trip!

@@MissAlphaba If you're not too overloaded, and you like bizarre movies, Repo! The Genetic Opera is a horror/comedy rock opera cult movie from about 10 yrs ago, starring Sarah Brightman, Anthony Stewart Head (yes, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Ogre from Skinny Puppy, Paul Sorvino, Paris Hilton, and the delightful freak who wrote it, Terrence Zdunich, who plays a character simply known as "Graverobber". There's a complicated plot involving the aftermath of a pandemic, an evil corporation that performs organ repossessions, surgery as fashion, drugs collected from corpses, and loads of great music. The guy who directed all those Saw movies only did them so he could bankroll Repo!, which was his pet project for years. Yoshiki from Japan X produced the score, and contributed a song to the soundtrack with his other project, Violet UK. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who's into dark humour, a gothic aesthetic, and fun, heavy music.

Their first album lyrics were a bit extra for my taste but the actual music was amazing. Starting off with an organ solo was awesome. The last two albums they have made are bangers in my opinion. Every. Song. I came across your video in some research I’ve been doing on them for their up coming concert I’m going to in SLC!
