How was the concert? They are coming to Calgary Alberta Canada in September and I am getting tickets for them
@Hans_Lex5 жыл бұрын
@@annetteslife was there too. Band sounds even more amazing now with added musicians on stage and lot more power. Bring hearing protection if you're not used to shows. These arena shows coming up in the fall should be an even more fun time. It is a long show (2+ hrs) so be prepared to be standing for while but just enjoy each song as they come : ) this is probably the last iteration of this "prequelle" era of the band for North America we will see live until they go back into studio

@davidcole23375 жыл бұрын
This is how Ghost is meant to be seen. Not in Open Venue during the Day. These Guys Rock. And the Satanic Vibe is all a front. Think of KISS in 70's and Marilyn Manson in 90's. They are just trying to differentiate themselves from other bands.. Build a story of the band along with Great Music.
@Vortigan074 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's a front for all of them, I reckon there's at least a couple that really mean it! Not that that should bother anyone, apart from maybe the hardcore Christians I suppose. Music is music and that's all that matters to me, they can believe in whatever sky fairy they want for all I care, as long as the music is as good as it has been up to now, I'll be listening.
@mathyas1593 жыл бұрын
@@Vortigan07 I agree with you, but why don't you think it's just a front? I think that's just part of their theatrical image, mostly marketing to stand out in a sea of different good bands, don't really think they mean what they sing in their lyrics. Anyway, their music is great and I couldn't care less about all that.
@garystanton43473 жыл бұрын
I believe in god and I love ghost only found them 14 months ago and I'm addicted to them ,year zero is a amazing track ,the satanic thing is a show a story the little series of videos is a great way to get to know the back story behind all the papa's ect ,plus hes a lyrical genius on the face of each track there about satan ect but theres 2 or 3 layers to each track all with different meanings like he is for example, about his bro who died or friend cant remember ,but it's also about jim smith the serial killer minister who got all his cult followers to kill themselves, there just amazing I love there whole vibe cant wait for new album ,plus any man who can rock a crowd with a kazooo is worthy of the legend tag lol that was hilarious in there acoustic shows psml :)

Just saw them In Manchester, Tennessee at the Exit 111 Music Festival. Knew nothing about them prior. Funny thing is Guns'N''Roses headlined, but Ghost was so much more fun, entertaining and enjoyable to watch and listen to. G'N'R was great, but Ghost was the full package. They really understand how to perform a show. Tons of effects! Also, Tobias (lead singer) is the ONLY musician I've ever seen that blows kisses (profusely!) to everyone. Love him!!!! He's such an incredible frontman! Love Ghost!!
@Duude1255 жыл бұрын
I have a friend that went to that show. It was a pretty curious event, having Lynyrd Skynyrd on the same bill and stage as Slayer. I wish I could have gone, though.

@@Duude125 I believe it was the first (Exit 111) show of it's kind. If so, they did a really amazing job putting it together. A lot of logistics and everything was super, well organized and pulled off without a hitch. A lot of good bands, too. Three stages. Plenty of food, bathrooms and space. I car camped, which was cool. Wow, there were a lot of people camping! I drove up from Atlanta. Only issue I personally had is I didn't really jive with the crowd. I'm guessing not your typical Ghost fan! Great show, highly recommend! Cheers!!

I have never talked to Tobias Forge who started this band so this is my opinion about this topic. Some people whine about this band not being enough metal to call itslef that. The fact that this band swirl between bands like Kiss and metallica is for me logical. I started listening to metal at age 15 at 1979 starting with Sweet and after that i bought 3 albums, Motörhead, Rainbow and my first Maiden album. Thing is i had played the drums and got ried of the Disco and pop records i had before this time, this music was just to easy to play and Jazz was complicated but lacked the energy i craved. So when i started to play thes 3 records i bought i realized i had alot to learn on dums, wich i did. So to close my train of thoughts, its logical for me that Tobias has a wide range of music to use as inspiration. There is so many awesome bands to listen to and get inspired by, and making something new from it.
@Duude1252 жыл бұрын
I grew up on Black Sabbath. My first concert was Ozzy with Randy Rhoades, my second concert was Black Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio. I always had a preference for heavier music but I also grew up listening to a lot of other music. Today, my musical library goes all the way back to the 1920s. I listen to so many genres, my wife says my musical taste is schizophrenic. The only type of music I dislike is the mainstream commercial stuff of any genre. I like that Ghost pulls influence from so many sources. It makes them different from other bands. I appreciate bands that are different. Why listen to something that sounds like somebody else?

Between making my way through the crowd all the way to the entrance, waiting in line for my photo, then making my way back to my seat, the 15 minute intermission was about over.
