@@catanawithc Oh, I'm definitely aware of all the things we could've gotten had Nick not favored other shows instead (including the toyline they turned down by choosing Avatar over DP). I've essentially grown up with this show since as far back as I can remember, and I own the entirety of it on disc because "special interests go brrr" like that. I was just bringing awareness to the fact that they were finally doing something with the franchise again after 16 years of it being virtually dormant since the finale. (No, I do not count the Fairly Odd Phantom Crossover here on KZbin, nor Danny's addition in video games to fill out character slots). Not everyone's heard the news, and I enjoy spreading the word about a beloved series of mine coming back. As for Butch's channel? DP videos are basically the only thing I watch it for... I couldn't care less about the rest of his content (nor the man himself considering how much of a laughing stock he is within the fandom) in all honesty, especially in more recent years.

I love the little detail/callback when the ring flips and shows the name Wes for a second. It just brings me right back to that scene, and Sam’s oblivious little “who the heck is Wes?” when all she had to do was flip the ring over…

THE ANIMATION IS HIGH QUALITY! This really looks so canonical. I can't get over the line-art, timing of the animations, lip syncing, and overall generally improved art style. This makes me wish this was an actual spinoff that existed to a similar concept like this while staying true to the original. Not implying otherwise, but I know everybody will feel differently so I wish to clarify now that I acknowledge that. 💜 One of the best iterations I've ever seen of this animation meme, please be proud!!! ≧w≦

My headcannon for the AU: Danny got teleported to the ghost realm when the machine backfired and was stuck as a ghost for a while and when he made his way out he saw that he was labeled as a missing kid, and decided to stay hidden, since hes stuck in his ghost form post-accident, and Sam knows he's out there, she hasnt given up looking, hence the machine in her hands, because I'd imagine Amnity Park having a superhero defend it would get a lot of press, perhaps even a picture, thats what triggered Sams' search, the ghost kinda looks like Danny.

Just by watching, this Au seems like a reboot but takes place later in Danny's life, it may be the art style but everyone looks a bit older. Taking a guess that he and Sam were dating before the accident. So far it seems that this time, Danny's powers were malfunctioning from the very start. Like the Red eyes don't completely mean evil, can still be an option, but it's just his ghost side forcing him to be a legitimate 100% dead ghost while Green is his human half conflicting to stay in a semi-alive state. Unfortunately, our poor boy keeps glitching. If I'm wrong, no worries, this vid is awesome and that's all that truly matters. Thank you for posting it!

Everyone probably thinks he got murdered. Destroyed phone and some personal item in the woods. It would be a cool story. Danny stuck in ghost form trying to reverse it and slowly spiraling because he can’t and every else he knows is just experiencing the horror of investigating a loved ones disappearance and maybe murder. If he does figure out a way to fix the situation a scene where his soul and physical separate so he can start the process of balancing his ghost powers would be cool since it would give the opportunity for angst. As in they discover his body. Not being able to take care of his human side while he was stuck ghost makes his physical half look bruised, slightly malnourished, and really dirty (clothes are probably looking like they are falling apart depending on how long he was gone.) When he comes back to his body to finish the process of harmonizing again he witness the scene. Once back in his body everyone who doesn’t know about him being a ghosty just thinks it’s one of those situations were the person was almost dead and survived. Long talks would happen after he gets released from the hospital. The case (the explanation given to everyone/police about the disappearance) would be either him being kidnapped and not being conscious for most of it or him having some kind of mental break (I’m not that well educated on the subject or if that’s the right term so please tell me if this needs correction.) Both also lead down different paths of how people will worry about Danny.
