I was lucky enough to see the opening night of this in Cardiff, it was probably my favourite ever GN show. The sound in the video doesn’t even come close to how it sounded in the venue the orchestra was on point from the beginning. Exciting and totally thrilling

Saw this tour in Birmingham, it was the best concert I have ever been to, and I have seen Numan on every tour since `79 and many, many other bands and artists over the years. It was out of this world good.

Simon, the conductor and founder of Skaparis, is a HUGE Gary Numan fan. Doing this tour with him was a dream come true.

I saw this show at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham (UK) which was built for perfect harmonics and to say I was blown away would be an understatement and I have seen EVERY tour since the Replicas tour.

The whole Savage album is just FANTASTIC and involving the Skaparis Orchestra was just amazing. can't wait until he works with them again, hopefully on Intruder2. Here's an older one of Numan you guys should check out, personally i love it. Here's the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4aoppeAmsqJhdk

Saw Gary on this tour in Birmingham UK. Was devastatingly good, especially with the embellishment of The Skaparis Orchestra (not your usual stuffy, stoic type.....a young, enthusiastic and talented group of musicians). 'Here in the black' on this very same tour is outstandingly powerful 😎💝

I was there too at the Birmingham symphony hall, my first experience in a symphony hall with an orchestra and it was absolutely amazing, one of my top 3 gigs I've been too. Now I'm edging to go and se a full orchestra such as Hans Zimmer or Clint Mansell.

@@morphinmartian6266 So many of his songs lean heavily to suit an orchestra. 'My Breathing' is a perfect example for string accompaniment and provides so much breadth and depth to the aural panoramic landscape presented live. Yeah, Birmingham was right up there with the very best of concerts 😁

If you haven't seen Gary Numan live, you GOTTA do it once before you die. He's touring soon - book your tickets!

Gary tends to play smaller venues for an up close and personal experience. His past experiences filling 100K+ sized stadiums REALLY plays well into the smaller venues. Yes, you should find a way to one of his concerts.....

I notice that a collab with Gary Numan and Paul McCartney has come to light: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnW2pqKNmJd1rK8 (this is for a TV series with "Producer to the Stars" Mark Ronson; Amy Winehouse/Adele/Lady Gaga etc... *who is responsible for this collab). As unlikely as the pairing may seem, Gary and Paul at one point occupied neighbouring farm houses (Gary and his wife Gemma had rescued some sheep, that Paul adopted when Gary and family moved to America a few years back).

Hi M+G A great song to take a listen to is by a guy called Corey Taylor. The song is called Snuff.I recommend the live acoustic version, guaranteed to pull on your heart strings. You can see the pain on Corey's face while he performs it. Have a great weekend 👍👋

Here's another candidate for you to review. You two keep going on about how you've missed out on Gary for the past 40 years, but have only been reviewing his early career music and his latest stuff. Try this one: "My Breathing", from 1986, performed recently with the Skaparis Orchestra. This is my absolute fave Numan song. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqetY6NodrRjY6c

You are right, it is dystopian because Gary's album 'Savage - Songs from a Broken World' is about the post apocalyptic Earth, that man has destroyed with only remnants, including Ghosts, trying to survive in '....in a wind swept hell...' The young orchestra, Skaparis ("to Create" in old Norse), are fantastic backing Gary's music and his vocals sound exactly like the album. BTW you may be interested that Gary & Gemma, his wife, bought his outfits from a company called www.demobaza.com/. Quite expensive for patched up clothing and more 'steam-punk' in style but not something I think I would wear or think would suit you Mike & Ginger.
