This video is an IN DEPTH Ultimate HUNTER guide that I put together after MANY hours of playing a HUNTER at even the highest of difficulties! Keep in mind I do NOT claim to be the best hunter and I understand I am missing a key component, the Skipping Stone Bow, however, I feel I have become much better because I do not have this bow. Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is a co-op multiplayer mode for Ghost of Tsushima that was released on October 16, 2020. It is a cooperative mode in which players will be able to choose from four available classes: Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, or Assassin. Legends is separate from the single-player campaign of Ghost of Tsushima, and is a free download for owners of Ghost of Tsushima. Players are able to cooperatively take on new missions based on Japanese mythology.

Great guide. Couple additions. And I think this is what separates a good run to an awesome run. Not enough people seem to be splitting up on different defense areas in survival. This makes up for inefficiency especially in Gold which allows you to clear waves with two people. And this can easily be done with my next point. Keep a list of the spawn points of all four Survival locations (Aoi, Shadows of war, Blood in the snow, Shores of Vengeance.) I think this is the pinnacle of situational awareness that people have not been paying attention to. This allows you to ambush, trim down the wave at their spawn points before even reaching the defense area. Whats great about this is that the spawn order DOES NOT CHANGE in any difficulty tiers. You can watch videos of previous runs and list down the spawn order of the whole 25 waves (Barracks, Stable, Barracks) and do this for all locations. Save them somewhere and you know the rest. Aim the explosive arrow to the head. This will trigger the stone skip and a guaranteed kill (except for Oni) and also does more damage than aiming it on the floor. Add Hunter ability radius on the hunter charm and Status effect duration on the sticky bomb. The former allows for a bigger area of explosion, which is great if the wave is already scattered and will also burn enemies obstructed by geometry. The latter will draw out the burn effect longer which synergizes with your strategy of using regular arrows after getting burned. Try using the Auto aim feature. Like kiting, this will take some getting used to as it automatically goes right to the body, so adjust your aim by nudging it slightly towards the head and the system will adjust. Doesn't work as much with shields though but this will guarantee that NONE of your arrows will ever miss, and saves a f*ck ton of time with aiming especially on close range in nightmare. People have been sleeping on the Scent of Blood Technique. They are absolutely effective in nightmare mode (I think this is the only time it shines tbh) what you do is pop smoke, do a crit on someone, and then go to town. With auto aim, you can pretty much shoot 10-15 arrows even before the smoke dissipates. And couple that with executioner and you will clear a point in nightmare by yourself.

Thank you sir for the video :) I just started the legends side of the game, and would never imagined main the Hunter, i just sucked at aiming and I died all the time. I changed the Playstyle with the video tips and now I'm having fun with this class. Working towards gold now xD

i’m definitely going to take these tips! i love how you touched on hunters jumping into fights. i play hunter all the time and honestly, i prefer to fight than use my bow (i just switched to long bow and i’m trying to get used to it, lol). i hate playing with other hunters sometimes cause you can kinda feel that they’re there to get all the kills and it sucks. it takes away from the game and i just stand around annoyed. 😭

As a ronin/ hunter main. It does start to piss ppl of if your picking heads off or blowing ppl away with bombs. Its a PvE game. Not PvP. If my partner is fighting someone I'll just watch his back, jump in if he or she is knocked down or overwhelmed

Once question I had about hunter is when you use her ultimate are you suppose to wait for the red X to appear before you shoot or do you do more damage when the circles appear? I seen people do it both ways and I wait for the X bc it seems like it does more damage correct me if im wrong

In the main game I would stick to the hunter build because I’m a coward and I like to fight from a distance😂I’ve played GOT many many times but I’ve never tried the dlc…I assume I’ll like the hunter because of the play style I liked in the main game. I’m pretty nervous to play it because I don’t wanna suck ass but we’ll see😂

That's not being a coward! That bow is AMAZING! Use it to your advantage! haha You should definitely play Legends though! You would have so much fun. And skill does NOT matter! There are different difficulties that you can play on. All I ever play on is Nightmare, which is the highest! So you can't really use that as an example of how Legends is; that's more end-game stuff! But I know you would have a BLAST! Plus the co-op story mode in Legends is awesome and gives great lore around Iyo :)
