My son and I have managed to find more of them this year hiking Northern Michigan than I had in the prior 10 years combined. Very interesting plant and have been very thankful to find them so plentiful this summer.

I've been using the tincture for years for my degenerative spinal disorder...not every day but definitely on those days when I can barely walk or at times even sit up. I recently moved to a new area of Nova Scotia and I having trouble finding a new spot to collect.

Hello, I'm wondering what will happen to the tincture if I let it marinate a full year before draining and putting in dropper containers? Will it still have medicinal qualities?

I asked my wife about this. I mostly specialize in finding the plants but she is an herbalist. She said that it should be okay due the alcohol but she isn't sure. Normally, you would let it steep in the alcohol no more than 2 months.

The longer it sits, the better. The deeper the violet color, the more potent it is.
