Great video. Do you know if this printer supports borderless color printing? I noticed that on the first "Delicious Burger" print had white bar at the top, but there was a small line of black above that. I was just wondering if the white could be printing all the way to the border of the print media?

Do you know if there's a way to choke the white at all? The registration between the white and color layers is off ever so slightly. I'd like to choke the white toner by a couple pixels but can't seem to find a way to do that at all.

Looks great! Is the VersaLink C8000DT exactly the same as the C8000W apart from the ability to print on colored paper? The C8000W is out of my price range but I'm interested in the C8000DT.

Hi, it looks the same but the toner arrangement is different on the Ghost Pro/Xerox VersaLink C8000W the white toner is in the first position. On the machine you mentioned, the black toner is toner in the last position.

So there are 4 cartridge colours. Do you have to remove the white to add a black cartridge for regular printing of standard text?

Hi, the white toner sits on the first slot on the Ghost Pro and is therefore also the first to be put on the paper. This is why the printer is designed for use on paper.

hi for white printing we unfortunately only have the GHOST PRO which can print up to 300gsm.

Officially, you can print on up to 300g paper with the printer. We have also printed on heavier paper for testing purposes, but we do not recommend it as it can damage the printer.

Which software do you use, when I try and print a png image bought from Etsy all I get is a full print of white toner on the page with the image in the centre

We work with InDesign on the Ghost Pro. There is an information sheet with each printer where the recommended programs and settings are listed. You must prepare your etsy file for printing with the Ghost Pro in one of the programs on the list and then print directly from the program.

I have struggled with this many times myself, I have a regular Xerox C8000W (which i have had for a year or so) rather than the Ghost branded machine, but the drivers etc work the same. The trick is to understand there is a difference between vector images and raster data and how different programs e.g. Photoshop / Illustrator send the information to the printer - if you have a design in Illustrator that is sent to the printer as vector graphics, if you have an image in Photoshop that is sent to the printer in raster data. The printer treats raster image data differently from vector image data - this means if you have something like a png and even if you import it into Illustrator as an image then print it will print the background. You need to split the png into vectors, apply clipping masks to hide / remove background, use the image trace feature, and use the no-print color chart. Hopefully Ghost White Toner will make a video on this as its the one thing that drove me mad about the printer, drivers, and the different programs you can print from...

@@karlmaynard25 Thank you for your comment. We appreciate your feedback, and we know that handling different graphic files with different graphic software can be quite a struggle. It can be hard for novice users to understand all the differences and their implications on the printing process with spot color white. We hopefully will be able to make a video with some explanation on this in the future.

The Ghost Pro offers the option of printing on transfer foils. It delivers good results when printing the Multitrans paper for transfer onto light mugs in CMYK and onto dark mugs only in pure white. Textiles such as T-shirts, bags, etc. can also be printed only in high-quality white with the Laser Dark A-Foil in combination with the B-Paper. Transfer prints in White+Color are not possible with the Ghost Pro due to the arrangement of the toner cartridges.

Hi, the printer has a print resolution of up to 1200x2400 dpi. If the print looks pixelated, it is due to the design. If you still get a bad print result you can write us an email at [e-mail] please include your invoice number.

Hi according to the manufacturer, 300g papers are the limit, but we also have a customer who prints 350g papers on the printer. However, it should be mentioned here that we or the manufacturer do not provide any warranty for damage caused by the use of such papers
