Dude I’m glad it helped because no one had this fix for me when I was having issues. It was all the same shit, “go to GeForce and change power settings or texture settings” etc and nothing worked. Also, I recently upgraded to windows 11 and I no longer have to change the processor check list anymore. Windows 11 fixes the issue 🤷🏻‍♂️

For some reason my game was good 100+ fps when I first installed the game and a few days later I'm at less than 60 fps and a choppy mess no matter what I am doing in game. Only fix for me is to reinstall the game.

Worked so well for my friend and I, we were going crazy about the vehicle stutter (sometimes we had it for 5 sec where the game just froze) haven’t had any issues so far!

Let me tell you how I fixed the game. I pressed Start button, typed Uninstall, pressed Enter, then clicked on Ubisoft Connect and clicked Uninstall.

When I would alt-tab out or go to part of the in-game menus the frame rates would drop from 60 to 15 and my GPU temp would drop from 78c to 60c. Whether Vsync or background/foreground fps limits were on or off didnt seem to matter. I never thought to look at it before the bios update, but now I suspect that for some reason maybe the power was being cut to my GPU (????). Weird stuff. Never had that happen to any other game Ive ever played unless the GPU was overheating (which mine wasnt). Temps never go above 78c playing Breakpoint.

I only have an 8 core processor, all 8 were already being utilized. I've seen a bunch of Reddit posts saying to disable a couple cores, or odd numbered cores, etc. Nothing worked. The only thing that worked *for a little bit* was setting my max framerate to 80 fps. It worked for a few hours but now I'm getting the same damn stutters. I never have problems in the menus like you do, but out in the open world, my game says I'm getting 65-80 fps but there's those terrible stutters ALL THE TIME. And sometimes I'll have the whole damn game freeze for like 5 seconds. Earlier today it lasted so long I thought for sure the game crashed. Nope. Just a massive freeze.

Bro can we start an uproar on Ubisoft, for this game to get more attention to get fixes on PC, I don't have these same issues, but ones that nobody else has, like weird choppy movement only on bikes, Weird studder step when walking up or down hills, regardless, many of us purchased this game with hard earned cash, so we can enjoy something we like, and are left with an unplayable experience, like.. it is "playable". But it is not "enjoyable" and as consumers/gamers, these are the two factors we use to determine if a game was worth it. So please if we can start a crackdown on this laziness to make a game actually work, I would be grateful

Hey man I found a solution for this problem I was looking on forums and lucky me found a reply from a player said That "Terrain quality" if you faced that FPS massive drop when using vulkan reduce it or play with it's settings until it get fixed like go high go low anything until it get fixed This method worked for me the CPU method didn't working for me but worked for some ppl and some ppl don't face this problem maybe There is like multiple methods works and some don't depending on your machine Man I'm so freaking glad it fixed mine Bought this game 1 year ago and had this problem and I had to use DX now finally I'm back again with vulkan 🔥🔥🔥🔥 omg that took sooooo long to find a solution No thanks to Ubishit I did sent them many support ticket and they didn't reply

This is why my dad got me an Xbox. Sadly, he couldn't have foreseen the One. Fortunately, I have a Series X now. The problem with succeeding consoles in a generation though is rather than catering the software to squeeze as much out of the hardware as possible, they just feed more raw power with new hardware. If you've seen Breakpoint on a regular One next to a Series console it's a stark difference. Of course it runs at higher fps/res/etc. on a series console, but it shouldn't run like the crap it does on the older one considering that's what it was made for. Late gen 360 vs early gen are night and day. This was a late gen game.

I dont have most of these issues. But i have like microstutters and super low 99% fps. On my laptop i have all graphics settings on Ultra at 1600p, and temporal injection turned off. I have my fps locked to 100, and my instant fps stay at 99/100, but my 99% fps stays around 40. My CPU and GPU usage are still pretty low, bout 70% GPU and 15-20% CPU. I already tried setting affinity, and by default my game was already using 31 cores. Im not maxing out my memory, cpu, gpu, or vram, but no natter WHAT i do i cant fix the microstutters and low 99% fps. This is the only game that does this, too. I can run cyberpunk on max settings at 115-120 fps at 1600p. I mean my game is playable and doesnt look that bad, but i can still notice that tiny stytters, when it should have no issue at all staying at a locked 100fps with buttery smooth performance, especially when looking at my current resource usage and having plenty of headroom. Ita just SUPER annoying when I know I shouldnt be having this problem, and have no way of fixing it. It also doesnt matter how i change my settings. I can turn on temporal injection, drop settings to very high, or lower resolution to 1200p. My 99% fps still stays around 40ish, no matter if i have it locked to 100, or unlocked and hitting 150. 99% still stays super low. Literally the only half ass fix i could find was to lock my framerate to 60, so i dont notice the stutter as much since its so quick and not dropping down as much of a difference, but having to play at only 60fps sucks.

@@GmoneyMozart my mistake. I was having so many issues I actually had hard closed it rior to checking for the exe. Once I restarted everything, I checked the Affinity settings and it was already set to all and the 12 procs were selected. I backed the GFX settings back to Very High from Ultra and that seems to help. Odd as on Ultra settings the game runs fine until I go into the menu. There, it is sluggish as you described and when I go back to game, that sluggishness follows and the game is unplayable. Plays fine on Ultra until I go to menu screen and then it tanks. I can play for 30 mins on Ultra and go into the menu and it will still immediately tank. Better for now but there are still some really bad "hitches" as I switch screens. Thanks for the efforts and I def do think your solution would help some of the folks having issues. Most prob don't have a 16 core proc though... 🤣

Strangely the game does utilize all of my processors, guess Ubisoft did patch this in, yet I still get the long load times or freeze frames whenever the game needs to load something or is transitioning. i7-10750 and RTX2060 with 16 gigs of RAM shouldn't struggle with this game, especially when ran from an SSD.

it's bizarre i did the benchmark for this game got a S score...but the stutter just ruins the game...i never had this issue in wildlands..going to try this...but honestly Ubisoft dropped the ball..no denying it really..by the way i have this issue with all my processors on so will see so maybe it's the priority setting...*post fix...the game still stutters...its minor but noticeable...this game is just broken..and honestly i should not have to attempt fixes. I know my comment is two years late, but there is a very simple solution to most of the problems. Breakpoint practically always uses the GBR_vulkan.exe for loading and it is this that causes problems because it does not run with DirectX. In the game files there is also the GBR.exe, which runs with DirectX, but the game always wants to load the GBR_vulkan.exe. So you simply delete the GBR_vulkan.exe or create a backup of it and then rename the GBR.exe to GBR_vulkan.exe. The game will then always be started with DirectX and should no longer cause any problems.

I was always able to choose what exe to load up and when I upgraded my pc it was the cpu core count that did it because games like immortals fenyx rising had the same issue. The game would load up and not utilize all the cpu cores and run terribly.

You know ubisoft has many great ideas and thinks out box. But they can not make a game that is optimized and finished product. They have never managed that. Not at all, they're supposed to be checked off. Buying the new cpu when I did the game wasn't optimized for it or something. As you can see in the video the other games have them all checked off. The games having the issue didn't. Also, upgrading to windows 11 solved the issue. Now they are all checked off automatically.

@Gmoney Mozart turned out my CPU cores were already on, but I managed to find another fix! If you're on AMD, run the game through AMD game link and it should cut it all out all the stagger. Just worked for me now 👍🏽

You have 12-gen CPU. It has 6 performance cores /12 performance threads and 4 efficient cores. Thats why these last 4 cores (efficient cores meant to handle your background tasks) are not enabled in your game. Windows 10 doesn't know how to handle your new CPU so best solution would be to switch over to Windows 11 (I have i7-12700K and Win11 and game is running smooth without any issues). If you don't want to switch over to Win11, just go to your BIOS and disable these last 4 efficient cores then you don't have such issues as well.

I’m not gonna disable those cores just for these games though. Ironically enough, Enabling them got rid of the issues. But perhaps and upgrade to 11 is the answer.
